This store is truly a little gem stuck in the middle of downtown Milwaukee. You can literally spend hours there and get lost in the shelves of books that surround you at every turn. Organization is not this stores strong suit so don't go in expecting a computerized categorizing system available at your fingertips cause ya ain't gonna find it. If you love to read, love classic literature, or love diggint through millions of books or thousands of records (got a Beatles first print of 'Let it Be' for $2) then this your place.

I've been going to Summerfest since I was just a knee high child and to be honest I have very fond memories. Yes, everything smells like beer... everywhere, but it's a great place to hang out in the summer, listen to some music, and watch some drunk fist fight. Keep in mind it is usually pretty laiud back during the day but as the night comes it can get a little tougher. I also think that the music for the past few years has been pretty pathetic and not really up to par with what the festival used to draw. With that being said you can still head down, eat some food, have a good time.

I've been to VCY quite a few times and even though I'm not a very religious person I can certainly see its appeal. This store has everything a good christian good want. It has the bling, bling gold crucifix neckalces, a huge seletion of books and books on tape/CD, and an absolutely insane selection of Christian and Gospel music from all sorts of different genres. If this is your thing be sure to stop by, the staff is nice and the selection is outstanding.

Since I discovered Wi Coach Lines a few years ago I haven't driven myself to O'Hare or Midway since. This service is great, especially these days with inflated gas costs and what not. For less than it would cost for gas and parking you get a comfortable and safe ride into Illinois and/or back. As other reviewers have mentioned be sure to take a bus that departs much earlier than your flight (as you should always arrive early anyways) and everything will be fine.

One warning, the later it gets the rowdier the crowd gets so you may want to consider heading home around dark if that isn't your scene. Other than that have fun and enjoy your cream puff.

The highlight of Stein's is certainly their plants, both grown indoor in the greenhouse as well as outdoors. If you are looking to do some landscaping work for a yard you have to check out their nursery, it's fantastic and the prices are generally very low. Besides the plants there are also some cool things indoors, knick knacks and what not, but a lot of them are very nice pieces that could be used for inside your home or outside in your garden.

The Downer is a great place to check out a flick, especially if it is one that you are having problems finding at the mainstream chains. They feature alot of the indie/documentary films that are often harder to find. Sometimes, especially on weekends the parking can be a pain and the actual theater isn't that comfortable, but hey the prices are realtively good, the staff is awesome, and the movies are hard to find elsewhere.

Jimbo's has always done a fast and efficient job everytime I've brought my car through. While I'm not one to splurge on things I can do myself if I am short on time (and in the area) Jimbo's is the first place I go. They do fantastic work and the employees are usually friendly and polite. Ok, so they don't always do the best job on the interior (especially if you go later in the day) but your car will be clean and smelling good.

I love the cactus club. Half rock club and half bar this grat joint is nestled in a somewhat sleepy southside neighborhood, but don't let that fool you. This place is a perfect mix of good music, grungy atmosphere, and an ecclectic mix of people. They don't always get the biggest acts coming through but it is a fantastic place to see local talent. While it is small in size it has a big heart and a great vibe.

I first found out about Ko Thi was I was in Middle School and the dance and musical ensemble came to visit my school. It was a truly awesome experience and unlike anything you'll see in the city. These dancers are extremely talented and perform a very lively show. I've seen them a few times since my middle school days and they never fail to get the audience involved.
