good indian food in the city

Walking in you wouldn't suspect it was an indian restaurant. The decor is simple, and elegantly older. Something your classy aunt would use to decorate. The service overall was very helpful and courteous. A tray of assorted sauces and chutney's arrived with a basket of crispy flat bread. My friend and I shared orders of naan bread, basmati rice, cauliflower with potatoes and a poultry dish. The portions were just adequate for 2 people. The cauliflower lacked character but points for the sauce it was bathing in the chicken was a bit dry to taste but I more fascinated by the sauce. The garlic naan bread won hands down to my account. It wasn't overly powered by the garlic but just a slight essence of flavor. Soft and crispy , this was plus.
