Before i went I had a lot of friends tell me that it is not worth going because of the lack of diversity, but since girls got in free if are on the guestlist I decided to give it a shot. After going there on a friday night although the lack of diversity was not an issue, the dj was. The DJ was absolutely HORRIBLE. I don't know whether it was the dj that djs there all the time or what but he couldn't mix for peanuts! Drinks were overpriced and weak. The only cool part was that they had dancers!

If you are like me and have a sweet tooth, you are often looking for places you can satisfy your cravings without breaking the bank. This is it. I love diddy reese because you can get fresh icream sandwiches with two different types of cookies if you'd like for $1.00!! I mean where can you find that kind of deal everyday? Although there may be a long line due to how close it is to UCLA, it is worth the wait, plus the line goes by quickly. They even have a hot dog and soda for I believe $1.25. Definitely worth checking out!

I thought this mall was very fun. It is an outdoor mall. Parking is plentiful and very easy to find, not too expensive. I think it is undergoing some renovation so the entire middle is blocked off but even with that going on, there are a lot of stores still open with a ton of selection. I found some great deals at Macys. Some stores there are: Banana Republic, Guess, Bloomingdales, etc.

Unlike a lot of other malls in LA, I found the prices in Westside Pavillion to be very reasonable. Although it is because it probably caters to a lower social group than places like the Beverly Center, the stores within the mall often have many discounts. For example, the Guess had a 70% sale area whereas when I went to Century City Mall that same day, the Guess there had everything normal price. The food court has limited selection and parking can sometimes be difficult.

I had a different opinion than the other person who had rated the Nordstrom shoe department. Although I do enjoy getting help when I am shopping, I like getting it when I need it. I hate when salespeople are standing over you while you try to decide if you even want the shoe! I felt like I was constantly being watched and the moment I picked up a shoe to look at it, a salesperson was running to try to get the commission for that sale. I think they shouldn't have so many people working in that particular department and that the sales people should be more aware of what their peers are doing and who they've helped.

Overall I thought that the Pantages was just a magnificent theatre. Walking into it made you feel like you were in a different world. It is a beautiful theatre and you can tell it has a lot of history from the moment you walked in. I watched the "Lion King" here and thought the stage and the sound, everything was just amazing. The only thing is I thought getting front row seats would be the best but now that I think about it front row balcony would have probably been better. I thought the front row was too close to the stage and you couldn't really see things happening in the back (and i'm not even that short 5'5). You would have to get up out of your seat a little and strain your neck to get a view. But other than that, great theatre.

Long ago I remember eastridge to be quite a ghetto mall. It had ghetto people in it with ghetto stores and not much to offer at all. The only benefit was it is the closest mall to people living in the Evergreen area. But now that it is going through the renovation I hope that it does indeed change the way people perceive the mall and the area around it. The plans look great but this renovation is just taking forever. I think it has lost a ton of business since it started since you can only go to a handful of stores and you feel like you are walking through a maze just to get to one. But the benefit is there is a ton of selection in places like Victoria Secret because not many people go there. But hopefully this change will change the image of Eastridge's mind forever.

The last time I went there it seemed like they finally finished their renovation. This isn't a huge macy's like the one in Valley Fair but they have everything you may be looking for when you walk into a macy's to begin with. In the past the juniors section was always very messy and crowded with clothes everywhere but since the renovation I think it has gotten better. Things seem to be neater and overall it has a cleaner appearance to the whole store.

Oakridge Mall has a huge Old Navy. This store is located in the older part of the mall, towards the back. A lot of Old Navy's are fairly large and this is no exception. They have clothes for men, women, children, etc. My boyfriend lkes getting jeans there because they have a good fit and are well priced. Not the most fashionable items, but they have very comfortable wear. I like the jackets and coats you can get there during the winter.

The thing that I love most about Forever 21 is that they offer a HUGE variety of clothes for young women and older for all occasions. You can find everything from everyday necessary tanks to wear under stuff, to work clothes, fancy clothese, etc.
With the constantly changing styles, the low price of Forever 21 clothing make it very affordable for girls to keep up with the styles without breaking their budget. They also have a bunch of cute tops to go clubbing in.
Lastly, the accessories here are CUTE and CHEAP! A rare find...
