When you have a crazed wild animal in your house, the best thing you can do is to call Critter Control! They come to your house for a decent price and take the insane squirrel that came down your chimney away (this actually happened). They are not scared and take almost anything away and do it with a smile. They were very friendly and wasy to deal with in my time of desperation!

The Thrill of the Hunt is a cute little consignment store on Battleground. I went in not too long ago and liked the store for the most part. There is some nice furniture and it was layed out nicely overall. It is not the type of store that I would go to every week, but maybe once a month. Good location, even if the parking is a little crazy. The prices were fair and I would recommend it to anyone looking for cute, gently used items.

The people were helpful in choosing the best type of sign for the best price and my banner was ready in two days. It was exactly what I ordered and helped me to make the impression I wanted to make at the parking lot. I made lots of money and still have the sign for future use. I would say it was a terrific investment!

The prices are decent, if a little high...but they say you get what you pay for.

Cheesecakes by Alex is this really cute place downtown on Elm that serves the absolute best cheesecake in town! They can ship anywhere nationally and are super nice and friendly. The prices are what you usually pay at a gourmet cheesecake establishment, so that was no real shock. The store is adorable and the indoor/oudoor patio has a lot of atmosphere. Try it out.

Greensboro Batting Center has been around for quite awile and my daughters usually go every year right around the time that the co-ed softbal season starts. They like to get in a little batting practice and get the season started off right. The prices are ok, but I guess they have overhead like anyone else. It is usually pretty crowded when we go, with young kids and high schoolers there to practice for the new seasons.

Lee Spa nails is conveniently located inside of the mall and I have always been fairly pleased with the job that they do. The last time I was in they did a poor job, but overall they do pretty well. I usually go in and get an acrylic manicure and peticure right before I go on a cruise twice yearly, and sometimes just to treat myself. They are fast and cheap and I will continue to go.

The people that work there are fairly nice and the location is good, but other than that I do not have much else positive to report. Go in at your own risk.

When we go bowling, I tent to like Gate City a little better than the rest of the bowling alleys in town. They are larger and less crowded and the smoke is not as thick as some of the others. The lanes seem to be a little longer though, and I never seem to bowl as well there. I guess you win some and lose some. The prices are about average and the people are pretty friendly. Bring your own shoes though, cause bowling alley shoes are a serious rip off.
