Solid food, solid service, low lighting

I had dinner with a friend here tonight and the food was excellent (I had the chicken) and service solid. Like Brad's review above, I too got fries in two courses -- they should have alerted me to that while ordering. My biggest complaint is the lighting -- I hate when it's so dim!
Mateo definitely had the feeling of a "chic" hangout spot, and there was some young, attractive 20 somethings at the table next to us. Overall, a B+ restaurant.
