Chipotle is quite possibly the best place to go if you're in a rush and you're looking for something cheap and healthy. Well, more healthy than a cheeseburger and fries, that is. My personal favorite is the Steak Salad, the newest item to be added to Chipotle's menu. The salad comes with a yummy Lime Vinagrette salad dressing and lots of leafy greens. And no, they don't use iceburg lettuce, thankfully. Of course they also offer the standard Burrito, the Burrito Bol and Fajita Burrito. I think they also have soft tacos which I've heard are a good choice if you're not trying to eat a ton of rice. Their chips are really good, they're made with a little hint of lime. And the guacamole is amazing! If you have not gone to Chipotle yet, you are definitely missing out!

Mr. Chen's is an excellent choice if you are having a serious Chinese food craving, but you're really not looking to gain a couple of lbs. in the process. The restaurant boasts a large menu with a considerable amount of the items prepared with only organic ingredients. They also offer the brown rice alternative for those of you that don't really like white rice. If you're a seafood fan, definitely check out their shrimp dishes, they're pretty good! The prices are more than reasonable, and the food is quite tasty. And like most Chinese restaurants, they do deliver to a limited area.

I've been living in Northern VA for almost 22 years now, and I can honestly say that Dr. Mark Winkler and his associates are the best. The office is called Northern Virginia Dental and they're conveniently located right off Rolling Road. What makes the office stand out from the rest? Well.. The office itself is very clean and organized. They have an extremely professional, yet friendly staff. The dental hygienist are great at what they do and always gentle on the teeth. And finally, in the four years I've been going there, they have never made a mistake w/ my billing or insurance.

This liquior store is quite possibly the only store in DC where you can find a GREAT selection of wine and spirits at reasonable prices and a knowledgable staff willing and able to answer any questions you may have. Everyone in the store is helpful and friendly, and they really know their stuff. I highly recommend going there if you're planning on throwing a big party and you need some help picking out a few good ones.

Pasta Mia... the best Italian restaurant I've ever been to in the DC area. Their food is absolutely delicious! It's also pretty heavy, so don't eat anything before you go there. The house wine is great, and cheap. All of the dishes are yummy, I don't think I can recommend one in particular. Everything is very reasonably priced. You need to check this place out!!! But two things to keep in mind.... the restaurant is small, so the wait can be very long and they DO NOT accept credit cards (last time I checked), so bring some cash.

Pesto is an Italian (of course) restaurant located in between the restaurant strip in Woodley Park and the Zoo. It's not next to any other businesses, so it appears a bit awkward at first glance. But the food is actually pretty good if you're looking to try out a new restaurant. They have outdoor seating, which is always a plus. The menu is very limited however, so make sure you ask for their daily specials!

It looks deceiving from the outside because they have some great outdoor seating. But don't be fooled! Check out Cafe Paradisio or Lebanese Taverna instead.

If you have curly hair, and you can't quite figure out what to do with it, you should check out Elie Elie Hair Salon. It's located in Tysons Corner Mall, lower level next to Nordstrom. There are a few stylist who specialize in a cutting curly hair. The method is called "Slicing and Carving" or the "Ouidad" cut and trust me, it makes all the difference in the world. Your hair will look phenomenal. It's a bit expensive, but well worth the money to not have to deal with unruly and frizzy curls.
