I really like Ace. As opposed to some of the bigger stores, they really make you feel like they're there to help you. They don't have 800 different kinds of hoses, but who really needs that? If you miss getting good service at a hardware type store then try going to Ace, you'll probably love it.

The Yard House is the great place to waste away an entire day, and I mean that sincerely. They have over a hundred beers on tap and if you like beer you've probably already been here...if you love beer you probably live here. The beer selection is great and so is the food and the service. For the quality and location it's priced really reasonably as well. I just love this place!

This is my all time favorite in downtown San Diego. They barbecue all of these different meats on a huge grill and then they bring it around and offer you a taste or two or three. Everyone gets to try everything from the back. The little salad bar with salads and hot and cold side dishes is dreamy and the vegetable soup is amazing. I just can't explain how much I love this place. It's expensive at night but at lunch during the week it's incredibly reasonable. It's a great place to take guests and out of towners. Give it a try please!

Ikea does 2 things very well. They make cool looking cheap furniture and they make some kick butt kitchens. If you are looking for either of those or even just for some new home decoration inspiration head to Ikea. They have everything set up for you to look at in different home environments so it's great for ideas. Also, super cheap, cool furnture that's a headache to put together but holds up pretty well for a few years. Don't go there expecting miracles. The San Diego location is usually really easy to navigate and not increadibly busy.

The sauces are all rich and delicious and the salads are great. I just love everything here plus the environment is a ton of fun. Go with a group of 4 or more and share a plate or two of food! You'll love it!

The food is usually a little greasy but still very tasty and the service is great too.

Tasty food in a beautifuly decorated restaurant. When we went it wasn't very busy at all and our waitress really took care of us. The food was good and the price was good as well. The menu selection is nice, it's a little different than what you're going to find most other places with all of the basics as well. My favorite part of the whole meal though was the white chocolate dipped fortune cookie at the end, yum!

Well it's Chevys and that's usually a good thing. The down side with this Chevys is that I've been there quite a few times and never had good service. It's not that they're rude, they just aren't quick and they don't pay much attention to you. The food is usually good and it's not terribly expensive. I would try one of the other Mexican restaurants in town though if that's what you're in the mood for.
