The fact that they changed the name from the Bull and Finch to Cheers says it all - they have totally sold out. This place is the most over-hyped place in Boston. It is the facade to the bar on the TV show Cheers which makes it cool to walk past but disappointing to walk in since it is nothing like it inside but now they have totally commercialized it.

Boston Red Sox have so much history as does Fenway Park. It is one of the smallest ballparks around and is a definate must see. During the off season you can do a tour or during the season you must catch a game. When the Red Sox play you can watch the town walking towards the field after work and it is not too far from the heart of Boston so walking is not bad espeically when it is hot and you want to avoid the T.

The Purple Shamrock is filled with college students and tourists of college age with most of them drinking too much but having a great time. During the sumemr they open the windows and you can hear the fun inside. The bar has music on weekend nights. They do offer food although I have never eaten there. And for those that did not know, purple shamrocks are real plants, Oxalis regnellii atropurpurea.

The Comedy Connection in Boston gets a great line up of national acts as well as newer comics just starting out. I recommend getting differ there so that you can get a better seat as the best seats go to the dinner reservations. The dinner is just ok but totally worth it and you get a great night out.

As with all used CD stores you need to be in the mood to search through their stash and what is available can change day to day so if you live nearby you want to stop by every once in a while to check it out. They also buy used CDs but I have never sold here. They also carry some DVDs but not too many.

New England Aquarium is a nice way to pass some time and for you and the family to learn about sea life. They are not huge but they have a decent amount of exhibits and watching the scuba divers feed the fish in the huge center tank is a lot of fun. They also had a HUGE lobster and octopus and turtle. And the penguin display was fun. They are located near Fanuel hall so there is a lot to do within walking distance.

Atlantic Fish is located on Boylston and when it is nice out you can eat outside. I love this section of Boston and I love this restaurant. The prices are reasonable considering what you get and where it is located and the wait is not normally too bad. Their lobster is cooked to perfection.

The Lowes at Boston Commons is huge and makes for a real fun way to see a movie. They are more money than other Lowes theaters but they are located in the heart of the city and easy to get to from the T's park street stop and a short walk from the other lines. They have the newest movies and lots of screens so you can find what you want.
