A place for teens. If you have to compare Edwards Cinema and AMC Theater in Mission Valley, I'd say it depends on the ages. Considering Edwards Cinema is next to San Marcos High school, you'll be seeing mostly teens attending Edwards. AMC on the other hand is mostly casual.
