If it's nice out it is nice to sit outside and weat their mediocre overpriced food. It;s nice if going out to see a movie at the theater across the street, but really, if located anywhere else, this place would have closed years ago.

Why anyone would go to Magnolia's for cupcakes when they can go a few extra blocks and come to this place. The cupcakes are 20 times better, and there are tons of options to choose from. The place is really cozy and cute inside, and the coffee is really good. Forget the cupcakes and go for the icebox cake.

This is a really fun place to go, especially with out of town friends. The burgers are really good (I like them better than Corner Bistro). Monday nights is the bargain deal of the burger and the beer for $7. the only downside is that they only allow the tables to be used for eaters and not for drinkers only, so get there early and sit in the front loungy seat, or better yet, order some food.

I have been going to this dark dingy bar for years. In fact, I believe it was where I first used my fake ID when I was 18. The crowd is nothing to speak of, but the people who work here are always nice, and they have the 2 best theme drinking nights of any bar: Tuesdays is flip night where a coin is tossed and if called correctly, your drink is comped. On Thursdays is trivia night. Get some buddies together and throw a few back. If you're lucky maybe they'll all be free (but don't forget to tip the bartender)

What helps is their BYO policy which is a rare treat at any restaurant. Ladies, be warned: two times that I have gone there the same waitress hit on my boyfriend right in front of me.

I cannot for the life of me figure out why this place is always packed, it must be because of the gastronomic wasteland that is the Upper East Side is its home. Don't fall into the trap of its sidewalk cafe charm. You have been warned.

NY has no good Mexican food, and the fact that it was the folks at McDonalds to get anywhere in the burrito business is just disturbing. But they aren't bad, although I would argue they are a little expensive ($1.75 extra for guacamole), however, they are huge and I generally get 2 lunches out of one burrito.
