This place is a necessity when gift shopping for virtually anyone. You can fin really cool but practical items to completely ridiculous but fun like packing tape with bacon on it (which I guess is kind of useful). The prices range from okay to very expensive, so definitely reserved for buying for others only. Also, as a bonus I once saw Hugh Jackman shopping with his family here.

They have a good selection and variety of gift-y items, which they put together in their gift baskets, which to me seems like not a very good deal, I prefer to buy the individual gift items on their own. The baskets are very reasonable and often times there will be good sales on select ones.

I especially love the NYC cookie tin that includes the statue of liberty, a big apple,a taxi and a I LOVE NY t-shirt. Also, go after 6 and baked goods are half price.

You can buy bulk, individual or even mini. Perfect for people like me who likes to entertain but cannot for the life of me bake. They always have samples on the counter so just pop in and give it a try if you are crazy enough to think you can't commit to a brownie.

I actually just wanted to say "perfetto" because I would say that this place is more good to great. BUt the good stuff is really good. A great spot for specialty items and the home sick Italian who will certainly bawk at the price for what he considers a normal grocery item. But it is very good to look for Italin specialty items and things like tomato paste in a tube.

I love shopping at kitchen supply stores rather than specialty shops like Williams Sonoma etc because you get great utility at a lot lower price. This place is great for anyone, not just restauranteurs. It's fun to find all the chef tools and to buy gifts for your chef(-like) friends. Sometimes it's nice to just browse, and as of recently there just opened a gelato stand right outside, so you can't do better than that.

For a while they were donating the profits form certain selections to Hurricane victims, which I thought was nice, but I don't know if they are still doing that.

I recently went here on the advice of a friend, and I am more than pleased with my hair cut. Also, it has been over a month and a half, a sure sign of a good hair cut that it grows in well. The salon was cute and the people were very friendly. I think it was about 60 bucks, no worse than anywhere else, if you want cheaper that basically leaves Supercuts anyway. I can't speak for all the stylists there, but I know that Lola, who did my hair, was great

This place is the worst dry cleaners. Aside from the fact that they charge $1.50 to $2.00 more than any place in the neighborhood, they are totally unreliable. They will quote one price and then charge way more. Also they will claim to fix things and charge for it, and then not actually do it. I do not recommend this place, there are way too may other choices in the neighborhood, you are not paying a higher price for higher quality.
