It is a lot of fun shopping at the Co-op. A lot of cute and hip stuff without the overwhelming size and volume of a department store (although the sales are not as good). Plus it's great to buy Kiehl's and a lot of other good grooming products. Not to mention that this is the location of Barney's not to be missed warehouse sale.

I have always been a fan of Taylor's and used to go to the store on 18th street all the time before it closed. Now I go only when I'm in the neighborhood, but it's always a treat. The muffins are the best in the city I think, especially the cranberry and the pumpkin ones. Some of the baked goods are pricey, but it's good to keep us all from eating muffins and cookies all day long.

This is a great place to shop for that person that you have no idea what to buy for. The little toys and novelty items are just silly but in a fun and goofy way. Who doesn't want or need pink poodle swizzle sticks? It's hard to justify buying some of these items for oneself, but no one is going to turn away a gift from here.

Sometimes it is worthwhile to buy theegift cards and the wrapping paper is really cute, but you are better off going to the Bodum store for stuff like that. Also, the staff can be a little rude.
