This is one of the newer Panera Bread locations in the city. It's located in the Crown Center area. It's actually across the street from Crown Center itself (on the east side of Grand), just north of the Ice Terrace. As with all Panera locations, this one serves up fresh sandwiches, soups and baked goods quickly and efficiently. I love the cafe salad!! It is easily accessible from Crown Center, the nearby hotels and the various businesses in the area. It's a great lunch alternative (breakfast and dinner too!) with a convenient location.

Grandma's Deli is located in a storefront in downtown Kansas City, MO and is easily accessible to nearby businesses. They specialize in office catering and do a great job of it. My nearby office has used them for last-minute lunch catering and they've always done a great job. The food is tasty and fresh and the staff is professional. Sometimes they don't have delivery available if you have a last minute order and need it during the lunch rush, so you need to go pick it up. That was never a problem for us because we were just a few blocks away (though if you have to drive and park, it could be troublesome with downtown parking). I definitely recommend Grandma's if you need lunch at the office!

Antonio's serves up hot, fresh pizza during at City Center Square. In addition to the pizza, they also serve salads and sandwiches. A lot of people love their "signature" salad dressing, but I'm not a fan (it's very thick and I don't even want to know the calorie count!). The pizza is a thick, doughy variety which I really like. Their pizza selection dwindles as the afternoon moves on, so get there during the lunch rush if you want the biggest variety. If the slices have been sitting there for awhile, they'll often give them to you at a discount (after 2:00, I think). This location is located within City Center Square, on the south side of the food court.

I've used Builders Overhead Door for garage door repair twice. The first time the chain broke on one of our doors and had to be replaced. The second time I back into the garage door. I've been pleased with the service. The turnaround time is quick and the technician is always professional. They don't try to upsell you too hard. I just wanted my garage door I backed into bent back in shape and working--I didn't want to spend the money to replace it. They were fine with that and did a great job. I'd definitely recommend Builders Overhead!

I'm not even into outdoor sporting, but this place is really neat. You can find just about anything here and it's a great place to buy gifts for those "manly men" in your lives. I love to take my son along when I'm shopping there because they have a huge freshwater aquarium that he absolutely loves. The also have a lot of taxidermy and it is more like a museum than store in some aspects. It's certainly worth a trip--you won't be disappointed.

The Border Grill is tucked away from the main restaurants and shops in the Mandalay Bay. From the casino, follow the signs toward the aquarium and you'll walk right past it. It's a little pricey for dinner, but the food is excellent. Classic Mexican dishes are prepared with a unique flavors and eclectic combinations. A fresh take on many standards. Service is excellent as well. I would certainly recommend Border Grill, but be sure to bring your appetite.

This Petsmart location is located in the shopping center at 152 and Flintlock road on the Kansas City side of Liberty. They have birds and fish to purchase and cats to adopt. They usually have sufficient stock of the sale items. My only complaint is that the line to check out is often very long because there is only one register open. Sometimes that can be frustrating, but there are so few pet stores around that I still go there.

Il Fornaio is located inside the NYNY Casino. They have a dinner restaurant and also a breakfast place, called Il Fornaio Panetteria. We ate dinner at Il Fornaio when we were craving Italian and were in the area. It was excellent. My husband had the chicken parm and I had an excellent salad that was on special that day. We shared a lemon tart for dessert and it was huge! It is cozy, we sat in a comfortable book and had great service. I expected it to be much more expense, but the prices were quite reasonable. We'd definitely eat at Il Fornaio again.

The Market City Caffe is located inside the Monte Carlo Casino. It is just inside the north set of doors facing Las Vegas Blvd. We went for lunch and I got the all you can eat antipasto bar for only $8.95. It was incredible! Lots of awesome Italian salads, veggies, meats, oysters, etc. I felt like I was in an Italian kitchen. My husband ordered the Spaghetti & Meatballs (I think around $13) and it was good, but the portion was rather small. I say go with the antipasto bar and try something new for cheap!

We recently visited Las Vegas and ate lunch at the Monte Carlo Pub & Brewery. We had just arrived, were staying at the Monte Carlo and were starving. My husband and I both ordered burgers--they were gigantic! They were good too. Mine had mushrooms and goat cheese which made it nice and creamy. Prices were reasonable. Lots of TVs to watch sports. The atmosphere was a bit cold. Just your basic tables and chairs in a large, dark room. There was a stage in front and I think it was used more as a pub in the evenings. Still, I'd eat there again for sure!
