This restaurant is a great place to go for a wholesome Italian dinner that your kids will love. It ain't fancy in decor, ambiance, menu selection or wine list but the food is good, the price is right as my nine year old said, "we'll have to remember this place for next time!"

I try to avoid the big movie-plex trip. There are so many great small theaters in Seattle. But when you have to go see Madagasgar at 3:30 rather than some other more convenient time. The new Loews in Lynwood is big with comfortable seating, clean theaters and bathrooms, good parking, coffee & tea, ticket machines so no need to stand in line for tix.

I went to Home Depot this weekend and there was a big tent set up in the parking lot and they were having a rug sale. I'm not sure if it is still going on - but maybe.

The Grateful Bread has perfect bagels (not too bready, just the right chewy-ness, and all the right flavors). The pastries are delicious - strawberry rubarb bar is my current favorite. Although a tea drinker, I'm sure the coffee is great. They usually have interesting art on the walls. A picture of Jerry Garcia hangs above the register and if you look into the kitchen there is a lifesize cut out of him. Kind of eerie in a flashback kind of way. The staff are friendly once they start to recognize you. Seating is comfortable - the place is sometimes quite crowded. Although there is a Starbucks going up right across the street I don't think this will affect their loyal customers.

My family loves this place. The food is fresh and tasty. We have tried all the fish tacos and each is a unique take. Bad chips - store bought out of the bag - great salsa. test

We just move to a new neighborhood and have found NY Pizzaria to be a great Friday night outing. It's a great neighborhood find.
Featuring - those great big delicious slices of pizza that you can often find in hole-in-the-walls in NYC. You can buy by the slice and add your toppings. Beer on tap. Free licorice or fresh cookies for dessert for the kids. They also sell their dough.
Popular with families, always lots of kids.

This is the Northgate location.
After trying to stick to an exercise schedule on my own and failing over and over again. I joined a gym and bought 5 sessions with a personal trainer.
My trainer is named Steve. I did the GEM test which determined a very accurate read on my metabolism. I know how many calories my body would burn if I sat on the couch all day. We also did the dreaded caliber test to determine my body fat (yikes). They evaluated my body alignment by observing my squats from different angles and recommended my myiofacial-release exercises. We developed a menu based on the nutrition labels of the things I like to eat. And finally, a stretching, cardio and resistance training program. I learned alot.
It may not be for everyone - but if you are stuck and prone to finding every excuse not to exercise this may help.
I have been sucked into buying some things.

Blue C in Fremont provides the a very exciting conveyor belt - it even passes by the booths in the back.
They project some anime and Japanese scenery on the wall overhead. The color coded plates are great fun for school age kids. A great math lesson can take place at the table adding up the value of different color plates. You can order kid-friendly terriayki and veggie tempura from the kitchen. It too will arrive via the conveyor belt.
Very crowded Friday night - go early with kids.
For a special treat bring the kids for the ice cream around the corner after dinner- Cold Stone Creamery.
