I like Singing Dog, although I haven't been there in quite a while. I'm guilty of buying most of my stuff online now. Anyway, it's the kind of place where you can go in and talk to knowledgeable staff that know about music and can help you find what you want. The last time we were in, we were looking for something pretty obscure and they had it on the shelf. They moved within the past several years, but are really closed to where they used to be. Their old building is one of the ones on High st. that got torn down for the re-construction.

Au Bon Pain is close to my work downtown. It is very expensive for what it is and the food is only so-so. For a while I was on a kick of getting their macaroni and cheese, but I must've overdone...

For a while I was on a kick of getting their macaroni and cheese, but I must've overdone it because I never want it again. I do like their little caesar salad and their flavored iced tea. I wish they have more vegetarian entree choices besides red pepper hummus. Soup doesn't really get you throug your day.

I love Trader Joe's, although it is sort of far away and so we don't go too often. What I always say about them is that they don't have a whole lot of items in their store, but if they carry it, it will be cheaper than at the other "health food" stores in town. We especially like their veggie meatballs. They are so good. I could just go on and on about them. I think meat-eaters would even like them.

I'm not sure I can even count the number of "oopses" from the last time we took our car in to be serviced. When we got it back, it was acting strangely. When we took it back they said that "whoever worked on it last" (Um.. YOU) messed something up and that it would have to be replaced. THEN when we got it back, the service engine light was STILL on. They said they probably forgot to reset it, but then fessed up that they didn't even hook the wire back up. I will never trust my car to their shop again. Terrible!

This is a sweet salad with oranges and nuts on it. It comes with really delicious cinnamon bread on their pizza crust. Lunch runs around $10 with a drink.

When I got my tongue pierced, they had to do it twic because of where the vein ran in my tongue. Yipes! Not fun! My friend was there at the same time and got an industrial in her ear.
