I enjoy Strings Italian Cafe with my friends, especially on their all-you-can-eat pasta nights. My friends and I literally pig out on their delicious pastas, plate after plate. Each meal comes with complimentary soup OR salad, which is really nice because the soups are really good and the salad is really big. They also serve a very delicious, and fragrant foccaccia style bread, which they keep on refilling once you finish the first batch. Everything comes out fresh, especially the bread, which tastes very good with butter. Over all the cuisine is good, and well priced, especially for a college student like myself!

My friend had told me that this restaurant was good, and I didn't believe her. The restaurant is out in "no where" in Davis, and looks like the nontraditional Chinese restaurant. I had always thought it was just another Panda-express type of restaurant, but I was wrong.
Many of the items are traditional items that can be found in many high-end restaurants found in Oakland and SF, CA and they tasted very much the same. The food was a little salty for my taste, but nonetheless everything tasted very traditional and very delicious. I like their Sizzling Rice Soup because 1) it sounds cool 2) it tastes good and 3) it is reasonably priced. Many of the items, like many Chinese restaurants, are good deals (good priced) and of course, seafood is more expensive. One dish I highly recommend is the water spinach which is sauteed in garlic and oil and other spices. In Chinese it's called "tung sam choi" - you shoud order it and I swear it will be your next favorite vege dish! Highly recommended dish and restaurant!! Service is awesome as well.

I went to this place with my friend during when I was very interested in the Indian culture. She had told me that chaat is very light, small foods much like dimsum. She brought me here to Chaat Cafe to show me how good chaat was, and indeed Chaat Cafe was indeed delicious.
Because Chaat is small "finger" food, the prices of chaat are not much, so the prices here at Chaat Cafe were very reasonable. Many of the items were good, especially their puris. Try their puris with a little mint-chutney and tamarind sauce-- and you'll be set. The location is very central on University Ave. in Berkeley. From the outside, it looks very urban but inside, it is cute with little Indian decorations which made me feel like I was in a chaat house in India! The atmosphere is great here, and I recommend this place!

This place is great. The prices for the food here are extremely reasonable (excellent bargain). When my friend asked me where I wanted to eat, I had told her that I wanted to go somewhere cheap. This was the place that she brought me to, and boy were the prices great.
Not only were the prices good, but so were the food items. Their noodle dishes, rice dishes, and curries are the usual kinds that you can find at other thai restaurants (such as Pad Thai and Yellow Curry), but it is the price and good flavor that makes this restaurant stand out.
The restaurant itself is not nice looking, but looks are deceiving. Once you sit down, you are greeted by friendly waiters or waitresses.

In my old apartment one of my housemates broke a window. Our apartment manager referred us to Anderson Glass Company, wihch is supposed to be the best and the oldest in Davis, CA.
What had turned out was that the service was expensive and mediocre. The workman who came to measure our window measured the window incorrectly. He took out our old window, breaking it, and then tried fitting in the new one. The new one, however, did not fit. He had to go back to the main store and order a new one.
He took two trips instead of the one that it really should have taken, and charged us double for labor. I complained to the manager, and requested for a discount because we were waiting so long for a window to be fixed, and also being charged double for labor... but she had said that she couldn't because they were already at a loss for ordering a window that can't be used. In this way, she was putting some blame onto me.
Anderson Glass may be the oldest and the best, but when it came to fixing our window, it wasn't the best. They made mistakes (but to be err is innate to humans) and their customer service wasn't very good.
