Hershey's in Times Square is a fun place to go if you're visiting NY or just if you enjoy giant collections of chocolate. Here you can find bed-sized Hershey bars and Hershey's kisses the size of middle-scale igloos. Yes, a chocolate lovers dream, indeed. Just be careful, may cause diabetes if exhorbitant amounts of chocolate are consumed. It's a lot of fun, though - and I found that stuff from this store makes great gifts, especially for people from other parts of the world!

We recently went to Patsy's on 117th and 1st - a fantastic pizza in a Harlem neighborhood. It's like a burried treasure to find this amazing pizza - it's brick oven real thin crust pizza and the crust is both thin and crispy while it has a softness on the inside. Mmmm! There is a take out place - no delivers (too bad) and a sit-down restaurant. The ambiance is not special, but it doesn't matter because as soon as you sink your teeth into that pizza...mmmm....it doesn't matter where you are!

Cafe Wha? is a really fun place to go hang out. Live music by a really great band makes it a really fun place to enjoy with friends or for birthdays. We had a birthday party there and it was really nice. It's not great for meaningful conversation because it's pretty loud, but it's nice to enjoy the music together and the band is really talented. They serve some food - nothing remarkable, but it's fine and overall a great place to hang out!

Due is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in the city. Owned by the same people who run Lusardi's, Due is a great find for excellent food and great service. The waitstaff is extremely friendly and offer suggestions and modifications to the menu to suit your requests. The specials are excellent, although my personal favorite is a rollatine thing with pasta and spinach and mushrooms all rolled up together in a pink sauce. Mmm! You can't go wrong! It's a great eating experience.

Lusardi's is a great restaurant, both in NYC and in Westchester, but I think that's it's slightly better in Westchester. The food is always fresh and delicious and the staff is extremely friendly, especially if you are a returning customer. The atmosphere is really nice, the bar is well stocked and promimently displayed, and the food is always good. The prices are moderate to expensive, but you'll sure to have a great experience.

Lusardi's is one of two restaurants, one is located in Westchester and one in New York City. Both are excellent, although I think that the one in Westchester is a little better. The waitors are well informed and they are happy to accomodate you with anything you need. The specials are often excellent, so it's worth listening to what they have. You can't go wrong since everything on the menu is great! The prices are moderate. Overall a lovely place.

Mohonk Mountain House is very old and very classic mountainy style, but it's still a lot of fun for the younger crowd because there's so much going on. The conference rooms are comfortable and provide all the facilities you'd need. The rooms are rustic - no TVs, but there are outlets and wireless connection (thank goodness) so it's not all bad. Or you could even rough it and leave your computer at home. There is boating and hiking and a really cool rock maze that is scary and dangerous and not your grandmother's hiking trip but a lot of fun. The food is good, I have no complaints. Make a trip to Mohonk and you won't regret it!

Spending a weekend at the Harrison Conference Center is like walking through an all you can eat buffet for three days. In addition, it is a lovely place to spend some time, especially in the fall when the leaves of the red maple tree are on fire. The meeting rooms are all spread out and they are comfortable with all the required facilities for presentations. The food is served for 3 meals a day and there is a ton of it - lots of vegetarian options - and if you didn't have enough to eat, there is a small buffet of snacks and coffee outside every meeting room at all times. The hotel rooms are very comfortable and lovely as well. Don't pass up an opportunity to attend a meeting at Harrison!

I've been to affairs at Arrowwood that are totally lovely and I understand that full service is included. The pricing for a wedding was more expensive than we wanted and the main problem was that it is kind of hard to get to from NYC if you don't have a car. Otherwise, the grounds are beautiful and the event space is great. The staff takes care of you and all its guests like they are royalty. I highly recommend visiting. It's a great place!

The Westside Loft is the largest of the three spaces available in the building where the most popular of the three, Loft Eleven, is situated. The Westside Loft is on a lower floor and can accomodate a larger group than either of the other 2 - above 200. The space is lovely, like Loft Eleven, the only problem is that since it's located lower down, the views are less exciting than they would be higher - so they stare into windows of neighboring buildings. Still, it's an amazing space to arrange for a wedding or any kind of affair.
