Kosher Delight is a great place for a quick burger and a quick myocardial infarction. It's always busy and the food is always the same quality of moderately greasy. The salads are surprisingly fresh, although the vegetables are nomially cut (there are marks where a knife must have run, but the tomato is still whole). They deliver anywhere in the city for a fee. I love to eat here - but I can't find too many friends who will join me.

B and H photo is legendary in New York and it is because it is a veritable supermarket of things electronic. It's always very hectic inside, but you'll be sure to get the information you're seeking out because the people working there are knowledgable and the prices are reasonable. I got my digital camera there and I've been very happy with it. They send out a catalog once a year and it is like a phonebook!

My Most Favorite Dessert Company is, contrary to popular belief, a delicious restaurant for both desserts and non-dessert items. It's an elegant place in a not so obvious location that is great for a date, a casual meeting of friends, parents, or perhaps strangers, and the food is always delicious. Because the restaurant is kosher, it serves only dairy food - so there are no items containing any meat on the menu. And don't forget to save room for your most favorite dessert!

The Puck Building is an unusual but cool place to get married or hold any kind of large event. There are three event halls and they are all amazing because of their large spaces and amazing views of lower Manhattan. Large windows, hard wood flooring, and incredible views make this venue a unique and fun place to have an event. I would totally recommend this to a friend looking for a modern twist on New York city weddings.

Uno's is a favorite for many and we've had our share of good times there. Although the ambiance is not typical Manhattan, it's a nice casual and inexpensive place to have a laid back meal. If you like deep dish pizza, this is a good place to go. I really enjoy their salads as well. The service is usually good and they are friendly and pretty prompt.

I love Zesty's if it's just good ol' pizza that I'm interested in. There's nothing fancy about it - but it's got a nice crispy crust and the cheese and sauce perfectly delicious. It's never soggy and it always tastes good. Of course it's better to eat it right there, but still, even with delivery the food is good. The delivery is fast and it's always accurate!

I love Whole Foods and it makes the Columbus Circle area so much fun. Whole Foods has an amazing selection of produce and meats and packages yummy things - but perhaps the most fun is the prepared foods. There are two huge salad bars with hot and cold salad items including everything from baby spinach to frisee to artichokes to couscous to different kinds of tofu. There is an Indian section of hot food - and the deli counter is amazing - there are sandwiches of all kinds. Ooo! and yummy pizza too! There's a coffee section, a wall of olives - mmm! It's so fun. Sitting, however is a challenge, because it gets really crowded.

Better Burger is an attempt at fast food that isn't terrible because they emphasize nicer ingredients and more organic and wholesome menu items. Plentiful salads are on the menu, topics for burgers include vegetables - and the food is pretty good. Even the oven fried french fries are yummy. The food is not amazing, but it is nice and makes you feel less bad about eating take out burgers, so I'd definitely try it again.

Mustang is a nice place and it is the only place that always has people sitting outside and enjoying the sidewalk around that corner. They specialize in tequila and cigars, although they don't have cigars anymore, so it's really just tequilla. The chips and salsa are good, the food is okay, the best part is the casual and fun atmosphere. The service is annoying and usually takes a long time to bring things and to check up on you, but overall it's a pleasant experience.

Payard is a French Bistro and Patisserie that is thought throughout the land (the upper east land) to be the best pastry around. The restaurant is very good - moderate to expensive with classic french fare and pretentous waitstaff, and the pastry area is wonderful. Miranda on Sex and the City couldn't stay away either during her man-less chocolate obsession phase. It's definitely worth checking out and treating yourself or someone you love to one of their $85 chocolate cakes.
