We had a lovely time at the Velvet Lounge for a birthday party for a friend. The whole top floor of the restaurant is a really nice open space to have a party. You'd never know that the place is upstairs since there is not sign - you have to go into Tai and then there's a tiny doorway leading to the upstairs where the lounge is found. The bar is nice and the space is big. It's sparsely decorated, but the place is nice. The lighting is not particular mood-lighting, but it's a fine place.
