Afghans apparently are big meat-eaters, because the kabob selection at this popular San Carlos eatery is astounding.
But there are wonderful vegetarian dishes as well. We sometimes order the vegetarian platter and specify pumpkin, eggplant or spinach. It is served with a heaping mound of rice and Afghan bread.
Our biggest ordering problem is deciding between the kabobs and the veggie.
Try Kabul, even if you've never had Afghan food. It's wonderful.
