The only Malaysian restaraunt in the Lansing area. This place is great. It is very large so you don't come out smelling like a wok.
The menu is HUGE. I mean huge, it is presented to you in a 3 ring binder. The first half is the menu, the 2nd half is photos of the malaysian dishes. Which is very useful because you probably have never heard of them before.
The portions are very large. They also offer a large selection of Chinese dishes. The service was nice and attentive.
A great addition to the Lansing area.

Mitchell's is a chain seafood restaurant that plays at being upscale, but is no where close. The food is fine, however at $25 in mid-michigan you expect something with a bit of a gourmet feel. However since it's located in the middle of a crowded shopping mall, they are going for the lowest common denominator.
Unfortunately there is no other place that I know of in Lansing for seafood. Your best bet in my opinion is to head to Chelsea to the Common Grill where you'll get the same prices, but pro service and an amazing meal.

The environment is fun and bright. Classic rock is always playing loudly and the place is painted bright pastels for a southwestern flair.
Check it out for lunch or a quick dinner.

The atmosphere is non-existent. With a name like Mike's Firehouse Grill you'd expect a hip urban feel or something to do with an old Firehouse. Instead what we get is closer to a hotel banquet room.
The service is unprofessional and a bit on the low class side. It's not the professional wait staff you would get at a fine restaurant.
The food is pretty much bar food slightly dressed up.
Once again this Mason restaurant seems to do some business in the evenings, but if you're looking for something the least bit interesting in decor or food go someplace else.

There are not many restaurants in Mason, so you don't have a lot of choices especially for breakfast. The one thing a place like this should be good at is breakfast unfortunately the Cayenne Grille uses inferior ingredients. A cheese omelets is made with Velveeta like processed cheese and the menu is tiny.
This place is always full at dinner and breakfast, but I have a feeling it's just for lack of competition.
