I've never much been a crumpet sort of guy, but I'm totally sold on CS's sandwiches, available for lunch Tue-Fri. Their amazing home-baked bread comes out of the oven about 11:40, and they'll heap on house-roasted chicken or turkey, veggies, salmon, or pork tenderloin. Huge and tasty!
Also snaps up for the fresh-squeezed lemonade.

Sucks a**!
Inattentive service; gloppy, tasteless food. Where's the draw?

Armandino makes the best italian meats Seattle is ever likely to see! He's simultaneously a traditionalist and an upstart innovator--witness the lamb proscuitto.
Always tasty, always gracious,...

nice!
Pleasant, cozy atmosphere, good food. Try the arne kleftiko: lamb, feta, and sauteed onions stuffed in a sourdough round. Skip the baklava, though: they get it in the mail.

It's pretty clear that they've got a working spit for cooking gyros meat cylinders, but in ~8 visits I've never gotten meat just trimmed off of the spit. Instead, their meat comes from a steam table, where it's soaked up a ton of water, becoming mushy and crumbly. It's also common for them to use unripe tomatoes.

Zum Zum is amazing! The lamb is incredibly moist and tender. Huge portions, most tasty, and an ever-gracious proprietor. Avoid the big crush right at noon, and you'll be living large!

Very much a scene--furniture from a Manhattan gallery, self-satisfied attitude prevails in the front of the house. I'd describe the food as striving, but hit-or-miss in execution.
