This place has the most unbelievable selection of beads! If you don't have any plans on beading before you walk in, you certainly will walk out with some. There are always projects displayed on the walls for ideas. Some of the more generic beads can be found for cheaper at the larger retail chains but this place has some unique beads that the larger craft stores don't carry. You will find something to inspire a project here for sure!

Hobie is a local favorite with the surfers. They have a pretty good selection of surf/skater wear. The owners are also very involved with the community and support all kinds of local fundraisers and what-not. The prices are comparable with other surf shops in the area but this one has a really great feel. Friendly staff who can help you find what you are looking for.

This place is tucked in the back of The Lab (the anti-mall) off Bristol. It's filled with candles and has a very romantic atmosphere. Nice bar and a patio outside for dining. They serve the best sangrias in Orange County. No questions. I recommend going with a full carafe because one glass isn't enough. It's a great place for a date or to relax with friends.

This "thrift" store is up the very steep steps next to Taco Loco. They have more vintage clothes than true thrift clothes. It's less Goodwill and more of a vintage closet with lots to pick through. They have a pretty good selection of men's clothes as well as women's dresses and shirts. The prices are decent but it can take awhile to find what you are looking for. A great place for costume hunters! Tons of good accessories and shoes!

The Laguna Playhouse has been ranked among the top regional theaters in the country. They always put on a great show and have a pretty large season ticket audience. They often have great talent that come down from LA or NYC. The shows actually do have a tendency to sell out so it is best to get your tickets early. The staff is wonderful and they also run a well respected children/youth theater program.

This Laguna standby is hidden off PCH but if you can find it it's worth it. The restaurant is a converted old house that actually sits over the sand. They have an open air patio that you can sit on (if you ask nicely) and it's like eating right on the surf. They make a wonderful Sunday brunch or late night desert. The prices are not ridiculous and the food is terrific. They have valet parking so you don't have to worry about the meters.

The Montage has become a first rate hotel (and the prices reflect this) but if you aren't staying at the hotel you can still walk down to the beach. They have an awesome open park right off PCH that is a wonderful spot to catch the sunset. You can usually park across the street in the Alberson's parking lot so as to avoid the meters on PCH. A nice place for an evening stroll.

The Sawdust Festival is one of the biggest events of every summer in Laguna. Local artists come together to share/sell their wares. They usually have local musicians playing at some point during the day. FYI, Laguna residents can get in for free if you show them a piece of mail.
