Suni’s is a great restaurant down the street from my house. The menu selection is awesome and you could go everyday for weeks and never have the same thing twice. My favorite is the BLT- simple enough but it tastes gourmet. The prices are reasonable and because it’s a little place- not too many people know about it and you can always get a good table. The wait staff are great and the place is always clean and inviting. You can get take out as well! Totally worth the drive if you’re not in Shoreline.

Rice & Spice is a great Thai food restaurant downtown. We love walking there from work and sharing all different sorts of food. The portions are huge and you can choose from a variety of dishes- pad thai is always my favorite. There is enough spice to live up to its name and keep you drinking water or the tea they provide and enough rice to go around your whole table.

Mazatlan Mexican restaurant is a great local restaurant. It’s a great place for lunch or dinner any time of the week. The chips are warm and the salsa is just spicy enough to make you feel the kick! The food portions are huge and you get a ton for your money- very authentic too! The service is good and although it always seems crowded, you can always get a table. The juevos rancheros were so amazing that I ate my entire portion!

Stupid Prices is just that Stupid. In fact, not only is it stupid, it’s scary. It is a huge nasty warehouse that has cheap and even used-looking items that they are apparently selling for “stupid prices.” I saw nothing that I wanted to buy there, let alone even touch with bare hands. Although they say they sell things for no tax- for me it’s worth it to go somewhere and pay the extra money to not feel I was at a massive, indoor garage sale.

Johnny Rockets is a yummy little restaurant that makes you feel like a kid again as soon as you walk in the door. The selection on the menu is limited, but all you need- from grilled cheese to chili cheese fries- to amazing shakes- there is something for everybody. The jukebox plays classic songs for a nickel and the wait staff are always friendly- just like everyone used to be.

Black Pearl Chinese is an excellent Chinese restaurant. The food is amazing- you can dine in, carryout, or have it delivered. The service is fast and the food is piping hot no matter which option you choose. The food is authentic and tastes great- just enough spice and kick to make it yummy. My favorite is the General Tso’s chicken- some of the best I’ve ever had. The prices are fairly reasonable and when I don’t feel like cooking- calling them up and having food come to me is great.

Have you ever been to one of these stores? Even though it’s packed out with screaming kids- if you have nieces or nephews or kids that like stuffed animals- this is the place to bring them. I took my nieces and they each got to choose the animal they wanted to stuff and the clothes it would wear and the sound it would make- and then they got to see it “get stuffed!” It seems a little creepy to me but the girls loved it. Your animal of choice goes home in a little white carrying box and everyone is happy.

As a girl who is not a size 0, I have a huge problem with this store that has actually been brewing in my mind for a while but recently sparked again by a visit this weekend. As a “normal” sized girl, you cannot find pants to fit you in the store- you have to order them online. What? They don’t want large size pants to offend the skinny girls? As for tops- bad news if you have any sort of chest at all- their shirts don’t accommodate. They used to have a better selection and the prices used to be cheaper, so I guess I won’t miss shopping in a store that only caters to tiny girls.

Kid Valley is a Seattle favorite. If you haven’t been and had the mushrooms or the garlic fries, you need to get down there. The selection is great and they even have figure friendly foods- although you really should get a shake – they’re super good. Its not your average fast food chain and you may have to wait a few minutes to get your food but that’s because they’re making it to order and the prices are still cheap! A local favorite that’s worth the visit.
