Best Westside Dim Sum

Friday, March 17, 2006
This westside strip-mall restaurant has unexpectedly excellent dim sum. It certainly rivals the Chinatown restaurants, and is not far behind the wonderful places in Monterey Park/San Gabriel/Rosemead. So if you don't want to travel all the way out there, I highly recommend trying this place. It's quite a bit smaller, too, so doesn't quite have the noise factor of the huge banquet hall places. This is a great place to go with large groups (like most dim sum places). They have some separate rooms with large round tables that can each sit at least twelve people. Loved the shrimp rice noodle, sesame balls, har gow. Parking is valet only because it's such a tight lot, but you can find metered and even some unmetered parking on surrounding streets as well. On Saturday and Sunday it's better to have a reservation as it gets quite crowded.
