The Birch Aquarium is wonderful and children especially will enjoy it. It's also a great value for your money. But if you've been to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, you may be a bit disappointed. Still, if you don't feel like driving 8 hours, or if you're vacationing in San Diego, make certain you stop by. And take your time. Even though it's small, there really is a lot to see.

This is one of my favorite spots in San Diego. I've been going here so long, I remember when the lines didn't stretch out the door and around the corner. I haven't been to the new location in Little Italy yet, but I can't imagine that the level of perfection would be any less.
I can't rave about this place enough. The pastries are so good, the word sinful comes to mind. Forget the wine and cheese bar. Head here for the perfect end to a great date or a night at the theatre. You won't regret it.

So many people rave about this place. I'm not certain why. Okay the breadsticks are good. Not great mind you, just good. The rest of the food is mediocore at best. I had a chicken salad that was absolutely dreadful. If you go, stick to the sandwiches - and the breadsticks. I will say that the service is very good and the people are quite friendly.
