This is an esthetically beautiful restuarant right next to the La Jolla Hyatt; if you haven't been there before, it's enough reason to go just to feast your eyes on the amazing surrounding architecture. Now back to the food. Flemings has great steaks, and their filet mignon is superbly served ready to melt in your mouth. There is an exciting and elegant dessert selection, and their creme brule is one of the best I've ever tried. The service is also excellent, as you would expect from a place like this. And If you are into wine (good wine, that is), Flemings has over 100 wines by the glass to try.. not all at one sitting, of course. Enjoy!

Fresh ingredients make for great tasting tacos. This place is like going to a bar with fifty beers on tap; they have all kinds of tacos ranging from your every day taco supreme to more ecclectic choices such as seafod tacos. I personally like the shrimp taco (hard or soft). The one thing that stands out is the freshness of their ingredients and the high level of quality food. The prices are competitive and, when taking into account the quality and portion size, it's not bad at all. I give them high remarks for great mexican food at exceptional quality, value, and a very responsive and cordial staff.

This a great mexican restaurant with a large variety of mainstream but authentically prepared mexican food. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are enough to fill the heartiest of eaters. There are lots to choose from including mouth watering tacos, huge juicy burritos, and my personal favorite, savory and (if you ask for it spicy) chicken, steak, or shrimp fajitas. The staff are very friendly and the place is exceptionally clean and well kept. I give them high marks for great food and exceptional servcice.

This is gourmet pizza at it's absolute best. As any good gourmet pizza prerequisite, the crust at Sammy's is exceptionally good. The incredible crusts are topped with Sammy's unique gourmet toppings including Thai chicken in a peanut sauce, duck sausage, and a very cheesy four-cheese combination. The salads are very good and come in extra large portions and meant to be shared by the entire table. I highly recommend the Caesar salad. And, by the way, don't forget about dessert: my personal favorite is the Messy Sundae.

This little place is packed with some of the tasties and biggest sandwiches you are going to find in the greater San Diego area. They have a wide selection of both hot and cold sandwiches, and two of my favorites are the classic BLT and the philly steak sandwich. The staff are very friendly and the place is exceptionally clean. The only drawback is the limited parking. Otherwise, I give this place a hearty recommendation for an impressive menu brimming with a mouth watering array of tasty, large, and value-and-quality packed sandwiches.

If you didn't know better, or were slovenly drunk, you might think this place was somewhere in the heart of Mexico. In other words, we are talking authentic Mexican cafe, not only when it comes to the food, which is excellent, but also to the general ambiance and overall feel of the place. The staff are exceptionally polite and make sure you are attended to right away. Being right by the beach in the middle of Pacific Beach also helps. There is a lot of fun things to do after you've loaded up on some great Mexican food at Fred's Cafe.

They have excellent gourmet quality thin and pan crusted pizza pies. They also have a full complement of high quality cold and hot subs, including mouth watering BLT, chicken pesto, and meatballs. This is a great gourmet pizza with added feature of quaity hot or cold subs for those who get tired of pizza every night.

This is a good place for good eating authentic mexican food at a reasonable price. There isn't much to say about the ambiance or decor, but then again that's not what this place is about. Out of the dishes I've tried, I recommend the supreme burrito and the crispy tacos. They also have really excellent churros, and the staff are very friendly. Overall, I give Los Panchos a thumbs up for focusing on what matters most, which is good authentic Mexican food and friendly dining atmosphere.

As a bonus, there are amazing panormaic views of the ocean from anywhere in the restaurant thanks to the huge windows. They also have a full complementary bar featuing 27 types of tequila and 16 beers on tap. The beer selection is excellent and includes quality brew like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale or Anchor Liberty Ale. Best time to go is between 4-6 pm daily, as this is one of the best value happy hours you're going to find in San Diego.

If you want to have fun with family and friends and also want to eat some pretty good pizza or italian food as a fringe benefit, then Buca's is the right place for you. The food portions are extremely large and easily feed two very hungry people with some left over to go home with. One of the best attributes about this place is the overall festive ambiance from the moment you walk in; there are also several special tables with different themes you can call and reserve ahead of time. Overall, a great place to hang out with family and friends.
