So nasty! One of the worst buffets ever. Not even Golden Corral is this bad. I saw a little kid that was picking his nose at the table walk up, grab a piece of chicken, put his hands all over it, and then set it back down and get another one and no one said anything to him. Needless to say, I wasn't very hungry after that, not to mention the food sucks anyway. Don't go here!

Granny's Doughnuts is a tiny little place that's tucked away off Brookhurst. I get doughnuts from there at least once a week, and they're always tasty--better than Dunkin Donuts in my opinion! If you live nearby, give this place a try and you might just become a faithful customer like me.

I really like Tilly's, even if it is a little pricey. They've got all kinds of surf and skate brands, like Roxy, Hurley, Billabong, and Dickies to name a few. I got my Uggs from here, and they have lots of cute accessories and bags too. It's fun to stop by as part of a beach trip.

This is a good bowling alley. The prices are good, and it doesn't get too crowded on weeknights, so it's nice to go with a crowd from the office. It's also open 24 hours, just in case you want to bowl at 3 am! They have kareoke all the time too, which I really love. Cocktails aren't bad, but I usually stick to beer. The snacks are average, pretty much your normal bowler's fare. Overall a fun place!

In-N-Out was another discovery for me when I moved to CA. It has made-from-scratch burgers, and they are awesome. Also, they'll make it any way you want it, anything from adding pickles to adding 3 (or more) extra patties! I'm not big on the fries--they seem a little bland--but for burgers and shakes, this is the spot! They only take cash though, which can be inconvenient, so be sure to have a few bucks on hand.

Ticket prices are kind of high, so catch a matinee if you can. God help you if you go on the weekend unless you're already at the mall, because there is never any parking (except valet), the lines...

God help you if you go on the weekend unless you're already at the mall, because there is never any parking (except valet), the lines are really long, and movies sell out all the time. The stadium seating is good, and the chairs are actually pretty comfy, but the audiences can be really loud. They should step up the security, because there were people talking all around me--not trying to whisper, either! And the guy behind me kept talking on his cellphone. Go during the week if possible.

I really like the way the mall is set up. It's fun to walk around, it's big, and it's a cool place to hang out. There's a good selection of stores and a movie theater.

It's hard to find parking on weekends unless you get valet or park a mile away, so get there early if you can.

I'd heard good things about Baja Fresh, but I was disappointed. The food is only okay, they took forever to make it (and there was only one other customer there) and they didn't tell us there was an extra charge for beans and rice. Rubio's is better and has good service. Skip this location.
