In-N-Out was another discovery for me when I moved to CA. It has made-from-scratch burgers, and they are awesome. Also, they'll make it any way you want it, anything from adding pickles to adding 3 (or more) extra patties! I'm not big on the fries--they seem a little bland--but for burgers and shakes, this is the spot! They only take cash though, which can be inconvenient, so be sure to have a few bucks on hand.
