We had one of our best meals at Meritage! The food is very innovative and they had several game selections. The banana tart dessert was so good that I wanted to lick the plate. They also have an extensive wine list. With drinks, appetizers and dessert we only spent around $125, so it's a great deal as well. Definitely go while the weather is still nice so you can enjoy their outdoor patio!

Thinking about Hecky's BBQ makes my mouth water! The ribs and pulled pork sandwiches are incredible with their tangy BBQ sauce and everything is really cheap as well. You can also buy bottles of their sauce, which guarantee a successful meal. We usually get take out since the restaurant itself isn't super nice inside.

We used Sushi X to cater our rehearsal dinner because we love getting take out there. The rolls are awesome, especially the Godzilla and spicy tuna maki! And, the prices are really reasonable, so the value is incredible. The restaurant itself is tiny and we've never eaten there, but I'm pretty sure it's BYOB, which is definitely a plus.

I can always count on a great experience at Sushi Wabi. The sushi is super fresh and the rolls are creative (try the Dragon roll!). Although it's a small space, it feels larger because of the loft-vibe with the high ceilings and exposed brick. You can watch the chefs in action from every table in the place. There's also a DJ who spins during dinner.

Moody's is my all time favorite pub! They have cheap and delicious burgers, salads, and onion rings. Their mixed drinks are strong and have cute names like "Scarlet O'Moody" and "Moody Mama". In the winter the fireplaces are going and it's dim inside with candles on each table and free peanuts. In the summer check out the huge beer garden! It's a very diverse crowd and we absolutely love it there. Everyone we take wants to go back. They only accept cash, so be sure to visit the ATM before you go.

The original Crowbar was fun, but the crowd changed after they recently redid the inside. The music is heavy techno and house and different on the main floor and upstairs bar. It’s way too loud wherever you are. Cover is expensive ($20) but you can get in free before 11 if you sign up on their website.

Leg Room is the only bar in the State and Division area worth checking out. It's not cheesy or touristy. They have comfy seats in the front and a little dance floor in the back. The DJs always take requests. On the negative side, the lines for the bathroom can get long because they don't have enough stalls.

Le Passage is a great place to dance! There are two large rooms and usually one has techno and the other hiphop. The music is always excellent. The cover is steep ($20), but it's pretty easy to get a card to get in free if you're a girl. The only downsides are sometimes it's too crowded and hot.

Green Mill has excellent live jazz music. The cover is low (around $15 on the weekends) and drinks are reasonable as well. The club is small, so get there early to get a good seat. They strictly enforce the "no talking rule" during the sets, so don't go if you're in a chatty mood.
