As the other reviewer stated, the food is OK. However, the setting is casual and comfortable and the prices can be real bargain; sometimes, certain menu items are slashed 50 %.

The best thing about it is probably the salad bar, but that is not really saying much. I've been there 2-3 times as an invite, but I've never had any desire to go there of my own choosing.

I love Japanese/Asian food and Todai can hardly be called that. You can spend less money and get a better meal anywhere else in town. Try Song Long for Vietnamese or Shimura for Japanese (both very affordable).

This is a cool place to lunch while shopping at south coast plaza. the prime rib sandwiches are really good. Don't expect steak quality prime rib though at this fast food/cafeteria hybrid.

I like the pizza and pasta here because there different variations not found in your typical pizzeria. Everything is pretty good including the pizzas, salads, pastas, desserts. Try the peking duck...

For a quick meal, Lee's is great because it has good satisfying sandwiches, good coffee and desserts for a good price. Definitely worth a try.
