The Edgar Allan Poe National Historic Site is where Poe lived during his six years in Philadelphia. This is also where he wrote many of his most famous tales. There is not much left in the house, which allows the imagination to wonder. There is a self-guided tour that ends in the cellar, the dark, scary cellar. If you're a fan of Poe and/or his poems than you should schedule a visit.
