I like the antique mall in Goodlettsville because there is so much to see and the prices are very reasonable. It usually takes us a good hour to hour and a half to go through the whole mall because there are so many booths and such a large variety of old trinkets and other cool things. They also have some nice furniture (I've bought a few pieces from them) at good prices or they're willing to negotiate. There are a few others antiques places in the same area but I've found this one to be the biggest and have the best prices.

I LOVER this place! Talk about taking advantage of the label, "White Trash".This restaurant is the cutest little place with great decor! I have to say, when I walked in there and saw all the yard sale finds all over the walls and on the shelves, I was fascinated. The food is great, just your typical meat and three and for dessert they have one of two items every day, which your server will come over and recite to you. The servers are very efficient and they're so much fun to talk to..they're very sassy! For two people a meal is about 15-20 dollars which was worth it, considering you get a huge meal.

Highway 41 cafe is in my town and for cheap eats and a very comfortable atmosphere it's definitely the place to go. It's only open for breakfast and lunch and it's closed on Sundays. The parking lot is always packed so you might have a hard time parking which would be a negative but other than that, it's a simple little place for a good burger or some great eggs with the works for about 5 dollars a person.

I've found that Ichiban has the best sushi and other Japanese specialties in town. I didn't think that the seafood (sushi) would be that great considering Nashville is in the middle of the country and not near a coast in order to get fresh seafood. I was pleasantly surprised by the sushi and even the negimaki. Everything tasked great and for three people including several small pitchers of sake, the whole meal came out to 50 dollars. Ichiban is now the only place I'd go to for sushi.

I had to bring a substantial amount of money into the U.S. Baker, Sullivan, and Hoover was the first place I went to and they immediately sat down to advise me on what my options were. They are very thorough and right on top of federal tax law and what I could do. I was very pleased with them and chose them to do my taxes. Their prices are a little steep but I'd rather deal with them than with H &R Block who pretty much looks at you like a number. I now use Baker, Sullivan, and Hoover for all my tax needs and I would recommend them to any of my friends.

I had seen a review of Savarino's in the Nashville scene and I wanted to try them out because they were supposedly authentic Italian. We went to their store and the owner really IS Italian, literally off the boat. He used to work in the biggest pastry store in NYC and he is from Staten Island transplanted to Nashville. The pastries and cookies there are very very tasty and if you go to Savarino's on a Friday or Saturday they have their own fresh baked prosciutto bread. The prices are very reasonable and the people in the store are really nice. Whenever I'm in the area I try to get to Savarino's.

I moved here from NYC several years ago and I couldn't find a decent pastrami sandwich until I discovered Noshville deli. I had originally called them to ask if I could buy bagels from them by the dozen (yes you can). I was told that Noshville has their bagels flown in from H&H bagel in Brooklyn, NY and their pastrami comes from Cargenie deli in NYC. I got so excited that I could find food that was literally from home. The one negative though, would be that the prices for eating there are definitely NYC prices. The portions though are quite large. You can definitely share a sandwich. We had also gotten a whole cheesecake from them for a birthday, which cost 38 dollars. Again a little steep. I would eat there again though, just because the pastrami is excellent.

If you want some local flavor, it doesn't get any more local than Mahalia Jackson's. The fried pies are to die for and the fried chicken doesn't lag far behind!! I have to say that the place wasn't in the best area of Nashville, but if you're looking for cheap eats and you don't care about atmosphere, this place beats them all! The prices are waaay low and you get a good amount of food for your money!

I found a gynecologist that made me feel incredibly comfortable! I wouldn't change Dr Yu for the world! From the moment I walked into the Women's Health Center till I left, I was made to feel very very comfortable. The center has ONLY female doctors in it and they cater to every problem a woman might have. Dr Yu was gentle and took care of every question or comment I had. She really showed that she was interested in what I had to say! Amazing bedside manner and very very knowledgable any woman's problems. I would refer her to ANY woman who needs a great gynecologist!

I had several spine surgeries and I now needed to have a bone growth stimulator removed from my spine. I was referred to Doctor Schooley by another doctor and when I went to see him he immediately made me comfortable. He scheduled surgery for me within a week which thrilled me because I wanted to get this out of the way. He was very easy to talk to as well. The one thing that I didn't like, was the office that Dr Schooley was working out of. The place is absolutely filthy and it looks old. Dr Schooleyu is moving to a new office, instead of remaining in that ugly office in the Dr's Pavilion he's moving to an office near Centennial Hospital which I'm sure will be a much more pleasant environment.
I did feel that Dr Schooley does know his stuff thoroughly. I would refer other people to him.
