Whenever I get my brakes done I always go to Les Schwab. They are very skilled, and they only do brakes one way - the right way. They replace all parts of the brake, not just the parts they think they can get away with. They also do tires, etc and the sales people are curteous and friendly. Prices are a little bit more than some other places, but you certainly get what you pay for!

A climbing wall, rollercoaster simulator, lazer tag, bumper cars, carnival games, a small arcade, mini golf, and 8 other major attractions (my favorite is Wild River - very similar to the one at Disneyland) are all waiting to entertain you downtown at Seattle's Fun Forest. Located just under the Space Needle, you can't miss it! The rides are fun, and it's a great place to take family and friends who are visiting from out of town. It is best to visit in the summer when you can get ride bracelets for only $20.00 and you can use them for up to 9 hours of unlimited rides. Otherwise you won't get that deal, and the hours of operation in non-summer months are limited.

Highline Community College is a great little community college. There are a wide array of classes and programs available, including 1 and 2 year programs and certificates, worker retraining, and adult enrichment classes. They also offer running start, high school completion and GED programs. In addition to the above, they offer some online/distance learning classes which are perfect for stay home parents, those who work odd hours, etc. The only setback is they do not offer as much as other local schools in their distance program. Their staff is wonderful and extremely helpful!

South Seattle Community College is a good local community college. They offer several types and variety of classes and programs, including 1 and 2 year certificates, 2 year degrees, worker retraining, and adult enrichment. They also offer running start and high school completion/GED. In addition, they have a great distance learning/online program! They offer several different classes via distance learning (computer) and most of them help fulfill an Associates Degree. These classes are perfect for stay home parents, those who work odd hours, etc. The teaching staff is wonderful and caring, the librarians are helpful and friendly, but the office staff leaves a bit to be desired in lack of proper attitude and very discourteous. I was especially disappointed in the financial aid office staff, as they were abbrasive and quite patronizing/condescending. If you can get past the office staff and their poor attitudes, it is an overall great school.

This zoo has a great idea - combine zoo and aquarium in one place! A wide variety of animals and exhibits that any and everyone will enjoy! They have tigers, primates, elephants, wolves, birds, aardvark, reptiles, and more. Their aqua friends include beluga whales, walrus, sea otters, and puffins in one habitat, and a full aquarium with both north and south Pacific marine life such as sharks and octopus. There is something at this zoo for everyone. In addition there are plenty of educational opportunities either hands on marine displays or educational discussions and shows. The cost is very fair ranging from free (kids age 3 and under) on up to $8.75 for adults. I highly recommend taking the kids, or some other family or friends, and spending the day enjoying these great creatures!

Woodland Park Zoo is a wonderful place for any person of any age from any walk of life! What a great way to spend the day! The award winning zoo has tons of wonderful animals and a large number of programs. They have lions, tigers, bears (oh my!), monkeys, apes, giraffe, elephants, etc. They have the smaller animals as well. For example, their reptile house is wonderful, a dark and warm habitat to wander through! They also have a great petting zoo for the kids (or the kids at heart). Their programs are educational and fun - tours, feedings, and discussions. The prices are fairly reasonable, adults (ages 13 and up) are $10.00, children (age 3-12) are $7.00, and toddlers two and under are free! Check out this zoo, you won't be disappointed!

We had to take our kids here a few different times, and each time we were more than impressed! The atmosphere is extremely family and child friendly. The decor will make any child feel at ease as it is fun and welcoming. The staff is wonderful in so many ways. They truly care for your child and for you. They are warm and gentle, and have smiles for everyone. Children's Hospital also has several types of specialties including oncology, heart specialists, neourology, and waaay more.
For any of your child's medical needs, big or small, I highly recommend Children's Hospital of Seattle.

We were in the market for carpet for the main areas of our home. After shopping around, we found Carpet To Go to be 25% less expensive! That is a huge difference! However, there is a downside. Although we were told that the carpet was midgrade and of good quality, with a 10 year wearability, we later found out (AFTER installation) through some detective work that it was a lie. The carpet was low grade, poor quality, and only a 2-5 year wearability! There is nothing we can do now, as we DIDN'T GET IT IN WRITING! Lesson learned for next time.
If you want good prices, I'd say check them out - with a warning - do you rown research on the carpet you want first, and then whatever you are told by CTG, MAKE THEM PUT IT IN WRITING!!

This clothing store is great! They feature sizes from 14 - 32 and their selection is wonderful! Whereas many plus size stores seem to hold the belief that fat is ugly and carry only frumpy, old lady style clothing, Avenue truly understands that big can be beautiful! They carry professional attire, trendy fashionable attire, casual attire, etc. In addition, they carry a large selection of pajamas, panties, bras, and accessories. Their prices are fair and competitive, and their sales can't be beat! The quality is excellent!! Also, their staff is always willing to help with a smile! If you are a plus size beauty, or know one, I highly recommend Avenue!

While the doctor at Airport Vet isn't the most sociable man, he is extremely knowledgable and caring in his treatment of all animals. We have seen him for several years and each time he has remedied the existing problems, or prevented problems to come. The lady that works the front desk is also quite friendly, helpful and knowledgable. The atmosphere is pet friendly, and each person here really cares a great deal about your pet. The prices are the MOST reasonable around, and you won't leave feeling like you have been robbed! I highly recommend Airport Vet for all your pet care needs!
