If you are in the market for a fruity drink that will make you "call a cab", then you need to pay Wet Willie's a visit. The drink names are catchy and pretty honest, such as "attitude adjustment", "190 octane". It is all in good fun with a great atmosphere if you just wanna relax, but beware of your tolerance and find a designated driver!

Well, just learning my way around Charleston, I enjoy going out and seeing how the locals "do it". I must say that Light (formerly 213, I believe) was a lot of fun. There was a good mixture of music and people, and a genuine respect for the eclectic mix. Also, drinks weren't too expensive and that is definitely a plus. Only problem, which is common, was the sweaty floor, so watch out! I did tell the individuals behind the bar and they did attempt to clean up the floor a bit, which is very rare. Kudos for that. I had a great time and will definitely be back!

Although, and I might get some slack here, the food is just ok. The portions are gigantic, which does help make up for the less than fabulous fried rice. The sushi is very good and it is great to be entertained while your chef makes steak and shrimp or whatever your heart desires. I was less than impressed with the taste of the rice, which is the largest part of your meal. All in all, it is an awesome experience and good family fun. Try it, you might like it!

They have a full menu that is seafood/Asian infused along with the oyster bar that will have you begging for some more. The full bar is nicely stocked and the staff is fabulous. It is small and intimate and the food is great! Go and try it out!

I took my students here to see The Polar Express for a field trip. They had a great time. I must admit, so did I. Seeing that movie in 3-D on the big screen was fascinating. It brought the movie to life and made me feel like a kid again. The fact that the theater is right on the water of downtown Charleston only adds to the great experience. The kids had lunch on the grass in front of the aquarium and Fort Sumpter National Monument. Definitely a nice way to spend a family day out!

Rhodes is now going out of business. They still have a very good selection of living room furniture, bedroom furniture, and a fairly decent assortment of dining room furniture. The living room prices are very good and many items are still in stock so you are not stuck with the floor samples..yet. Personally, I preferred the selection and sales people better in North Charleston than at the West Ashley location.
