I did not have a good experience with this company. They were recommended by the relocation agency I was working with, and boy was it a bad recommendation. The agent that was assigned to me had a bad attitude. He tried to make me feel poor, inadequate, etc because apparently he thought my price range was too low. I guess he was just angry that he wouldn't be getting a higher commission. So we talked a couple times before I flew up to NY. The week before I came up, he asked what day I was coming in. I gave him the date, the time, the airline, the flight number, etc. Then I called him when I arrived at the airport. He pretended to be confused and said he had no idea when I was coming in. What is that about?! So I had to quickly scramble to find another agent because apparently this one just wasn't going to provide even decent service. If you want to get looked over and treated like dirt, try DJ Knight.

I prefer Grimaldi's, but if the trek to Brooklyn is too much, Lombardi's is probably the best in Manhattan.

There's really is the best. It was the first pizzeria I went to in NYC. I loved it, but didn't want to give them the title of "best" just yet. So I shopped around. John's, Lombardi's, Patsy's, etc....

The wait is ridiculous, but I suppose everyone has to go there at least once. I know they're famous for their Frozen Hot Chocolate, but I think there are better things on the menu. I personally enjoyed the Fresh Fruit Sundae. Also, the Forbidden Broadway Sundae is every chocolate lover's dream. Unless you have a sick dessert appetite, under no circumstances order a dessert for just yourself. They are huge, so definitely share with someone. I saw a girl take 2 bites of hers and that was it. 2 hour wait for 2 bites?! What a waste!

I think they have the best soup dumplings. Although most people get the ones with crab meat, I prefer just pork meat. Cheaper and tastes better, in my opinion. Other dishes are decent. On the downside, sometimes they turn the A/C ridiculously low... your food comes out piping hot, but turns cold in a matter of minutes. The waitresses are extremely unattentive.
Note: I think their name is actually Shanghai Cafe (not Shanghai Gourmet), but the address matches what the first reviewer posted.

This place is completely overrated. It is flooded with tourists who live by the Zagat. They may have changed things a bit since I went, but the last time I was there, we were sharing a table with complete strangers. Talk about odd. There are better soup dumplings a couple blocks away in a better atmosphere.

I have been here twice. The first time, I thought it was the best burger I have ever tasted in my life. The second time, it was not as incredible as I had remembered, but it was still pretty good. For the size and taste of the burger, it is worth the $6 they charge.
