Smack dab in the middle of Times Square, so I guess you can imagine what it's liked. Filled with tourists... and loud and semi-obnoxious tourists I might add. The food is ok... seems like everything is battered and fried. Waiters live to please. If you are seated by the windows, you will not get a better view of Times Square at any other restaurant. Good place for large groups and first time visitors, but it's not a place you'll frequent.

I suppose crepes fall under French food, but this place does not seem French at all. It's small and easily overlooked since it's a little bit on the outskirts of Soho. It may look rundown, but the food is cheap and delicious and the atmosphere is extremely laid back. I have tried the ham, gruyere, egg and mushroom, potato. Both were very good. But I think the sweet crepes are the best. Banana and nutella is my favorite. If you go for lunch, order a salty crepe and split a sweet one with a friend. You can get out for around $10.

It's a nice family style place with good Italian food, but pretty crowded since it's so close to Times Square. We made reservations ahead of time, so didn't have any problems. Started with some salad and mozerella. Then had Rigatoni & Broccoli and Chicken Parmigiana The pasta was very good. It's a nice place, but make reservations to avoid the wait.

Went here for Restaurant Week with a couple of friends. Just wanted to try out French fine dining at a decent price, so had no intention of splurging on expensive wine and such. As a result, it felt like the waiter was rushing our meal to increase turnover and get us out of there as fast as possible. Besides service, the food was just mediocre. I had the lamb, which was not as tasty as I had hoped it would be. The dessert was ok, but a little bit too sweet. It wasn't a terrible experience, but I don't think I'll be going back.

Went for the fixed priced dinner. Got the cod and potato cakes which were very tasty. For main course got a pasta, which was good as well. I wish I had saved more room for dessert because it was delicious. I think their food falls under the creative American category, so the presentation is good and the flavors are tasty. The atmosphere is nice... a little bit dark with candles. It's a good place to go with a couple of friends.

It's the best Chinese bakery. I go there 3 times a week. I have tried egg custards throughout Chinatown. Fay Da has the best ones. They make the traditional Chinese egg custards, which in my opinion are the best kind. There is also a sweet topping bun that I love. It's simple with no filling, but it's delicious. I have one for breakfast almost every single day. The other pastries are good as well, but these two are my favorite.

When you're craving a small bite, this is a good place to stop in at. They have many flavors to choose from and also let you try their sauces on their fries, which is very nice. I've seen some people go in just to get the freebie, but please don't take advantage of this small joint. I personally liked dijon mustard.

They serve more than pizza. They have pastas, fishes, salads, steaks, chickens, etc., but pizza is one of their specialities. The pizza was ok tastewise, but not worth what they charge. Calamari is pretty good though. In my opinion, this place overcharges, but it's usually filled with people... business people that is. Most common method of payment? Corporate Amex cards. It's in a central location, so it's an easy place to bring colleagues or clients. But it's also on top of a subway line so you've got yourself a rumbling meal. If the company is paying, go for it, otherwise save your money for something cheaper and better.

I went here because I had read reviews about how fantastic the lobster rolls are. Let's just say the lobster roll did not sit well in my stomach. I had the worst case of indigestion of my life and was popping antacids for hours. I'll admit that the bread roll was good, but the lobster filling wasn't great at all. I don't get what the fuss is all about. I guess everyone can't love Mary's.

I must note that throughout my life prior to Magnolia, I have hated frosting, but for some reason beyond my comprehension I love the frosting on Magnolia's cupcakes. It's ridiculously sweet, but so incredibly good. I really can't explain it. You just have to try it. I see people taking boxes of them home, but I really think they taste best when you buy 1 or 2, park yourself on a bench in the park across the street, and savor the cupcakes while the pigeons fight over your crumbs.
