I went to Blank & Stein (oral surgeons) for wisdom teeth removal. The actual remove was fine, but the processing of payment was horrendous. They charged me 20% of the total billed amount. According to my insurance plan, I am responsible for 20% of the contracted amount. The billed amount was over $1900 while the contracted amount was barely over $1000. Thus, I overpaid by almost $200. You would think that the doctor's office would know the amount they contracted with the insurance company whose network they are a part of, but apparently they are either too incompetent to figure this out or they are simply scamming patients. I called them to demand a refund, but they refused to do so. They said they cannot process any refunds until they receive payment from the insurance company. The insurance company issued them a check 2 weeks ago. I know the postal system is slow, but not that slow. I suspect the check is sitting on the doctor's desk and they are stalling such that they don't have to refund me my money. The doctor keeps telling me to wait, but this money was from my flexible spending account. I only have 1 more month to use it. Should they decide to refund it at year-end or even after year-end, I lose $200. This is absolutely ridiculous. If you're looking to have some oral surgery done and don't want to get scammed, please take my advice and do not go here.

Went here for Sunday brunch and it was delightful. It's casual and the staff is nice and helpful. Had the blueberry pecan waffle which was great. Tasted my friend's omelet and it was good. It's a little bit farther out west so not as crowded as places that are closer to central Manhattan.

This is a good place to go with a group of friends. We split some salad and a couple of pies and it was great. I didn't think this place would be a contender for best pizza in New York City, but it doesn't fall too far behind the big names. Went on a Sunday afternoon and there were plenty of empty tables.

The pizza is good. Yes, there is better (Grimaldi's and Lombardi's), but if your in Times Square and are craving good pizza, this is a good place to go. Downside though is that it's in Times Square....
The pizza is good. Yes, there is better (Grimaldi's and Lombardi's), but if your in Times Square and are craving good pizza, this is a good place to go. Downside though is that it's in Times Square. So like most of the restaurants in that area, it's crowded. And the wait isn't short either. I think both times I went, I had to wait around 30 minutes for a party of 2-3. And that's pretty long considering they have the capacity to seat a whole lot of people in there.

There are many flavors to choose from. We got 8 different flavors and took a bite of each one while sitting on a bench outside the store. They were delicious! The chocolates go well with a hot cup of coffee.

It's cheap (i.e., you can get 2 dogs and a drink for under $3), but I did not think the sauerkraut was very good and the papaya drink was only mediocre. I prefer Papaya King on the Upper East Side....

I think their sauerkraut and relish tastes better. The papaya drink pretty much tastes the same at either place.

But I have to say that even for museum loathers such as myself, this is one that must be visited. It's huge and it's got so many types of art. Even if you hate museums like me, go for the sake of being able to say you've been to the Met before. Because if you've been to NY and haven't been to the Met, everyone else around you will shoot you an evil look and think it's a tragedy. So I finally went to get everyone off my back. Saw the whole museum in about 3 hours. Glad I went, but probably won't be going back.

Mainly, I go here for the vegetables, which are pretty fresh and reasonably priced. I also get my milk and juice here, which, like the vegetables, are cheaper than stores like Food Emporium....

Everything else at Jubliee is a little bit too pricey for me, but I think most of the people who shop here are willing to pay the extra money because of the convenience factor.
