When you enter the aquarium, you forget what a bad place Baltimore can be. Gone are the gunshots and constant sirens and in its place is the warm gentle hum of life. The actual aquarium is really nice, I loved how each of the different areas each represent a different facet of life (which is really important to me as a science buff). But for those who like a bit more action, the 5 story shark exhibit might be more their style. You can really tell how much care was put into the aquarium and it really shows.

Eddie's Market might not be the cheapest grocery store in the Charles village area, but it definitely is one of the friendliest. Very convenient to the Johns Hopkins area, it serves everything from fresh crabcakes and sandwiches to a fine kosher offering. The cashiers are always nice and Eddie himself sometimes comes out to greet the shoppers. They also take J-Cash which is very nice for those BlueJay shoppers. Granted its a bit more expensive than the other grocery stores like Safeway and Superfresh, the extra cost is definitely worth it.

This restaurant really isn't that bad, its just not that great either. But I remember many a thursday or friday night after a long hard week when we'd order from them and they'd deliver right to our dorm room with lots of hot yummy chinese food. The meals are expensive, but you do get a lot of food, so its worth it. Overall I recommend the place, especially the general tso's chicken.

As a Johns Hopkins student, Tenpachi definitely is the place to go for a haircut. It's relatively close to the campus and close to the wonderful coffee shop known to all caffiene addicts in the area as Xando's. The actual haircutting is moderate to mediocre, but its the best deal around (11$ gets you a shampoo and a cut). It's also pretty trendy, though the first time I went there, I was asked to make an appointment and come back later in the week because they were booked solid. Also, the place sports a clean bathroom, which is always a plus.
