The AMC River East Theatre is the best downtown. All of the screens have stadium seating so the view of the screen is unobstructed by people sitting in front of you. The seats are large and comfortable and the armrests lift up. Parking is available in the same building as the theatre and is $6 with the theatre's validation. The popcorn butter and salt are self-serve. The ticket prices and snack prices are comparable with other theatres in the area.

Seeing The Vic Theatre is worth the trip to the Brew n' View alone. The theatre is beautiful if you can look past the old booths, tables, and chairs. The Brew n' View is a good value. You can see 2 or 3 movies for just a few dollars. The movies are usually just out of the mainstream theatres. Sometimes they even show classic movies. They offer drink specials too. The only down side is the trip to the restroom. The restrooms are located in the basement and are dimly lit and usually pretty deserted. I would recommend going down there in groups.

Whenever I want a traditional Japanese meal, I go to Matsuya in Wrigleyville. The decor of the restaurant is very traditional. The food is very good. They offer a large sushi menu as well as full entrees. The food is always very fresh and their fish specials are very tasty. The combination boxes are a good value. When it is crowded the service can be slow but the servers are friendly. Parking in the neighborhood can be difficult but it is close to public transportation.

It includes a massaging chair, foot-soak, nail trimming and shaping, cuticle conditioning, foot and leg exfoliation and a minty wrap, foot massage, and polish. The staff is very professional yet friendly. The price is a little bit higher than at other spas and quite a bit higher than the average nail salon, but again, well worth it.

The patio is a nice casual atmosphere. They serve their full menu late (sometimes until 4 am). Most of the food is excellent. I highly recommend the raspberry vinegarette dressing. On Sunday mornings, they offer a huge bloody mary bar.
