The Pepsi Center is one of the neatest looking buildings I’ve seen. They seem to have plenty of restrooms and food stations. However, the seats are very small and you feel like you are sitting in your neighbors lap. The food and drinks are pretty expensive too, but that is to be expected at a sporting event or concert. Don’t cancel your tickets for events here, just be prepared to spend some money and get closer to those around you! The gift shop is very cool too, but you can get the same stuff at a sports store for about ¾ of the price.

They are very knowledgeable with orthopedic footwear and offer an extensive line of products. Everyone that works there is very helpful. Dardano’s is family-owned and they really care about their customers. I needed orthopedic inserts for my shoes a few years ago and they had them for me the same day! They will even repair heels on shoes while you wait. Their service is great! Most of the shoes they sell are higher end brands, but if you need good shoes this is where to shop.

They rent almost anything you can think of from meeting supplies (tables, chairs, audio/visual equipment) to wedding supplies (barware, tents, catering equipment) and everything in between. I had to use them quite a bit for meetings at my old job and they never failed to help us out. They always had the items we needed available and the prices were great. The employees are very knowledgeable about what equipment they have. I would highly recommend checking this company out if you are having a meeting, party, wedding, etc.

This is the most inviting place to shop for garden and home flower/plant needs. They have the largest selection I have ever seen, along with a great array of pots and planters. They also sell patio furniture and some of the neatest items to decorate your home. They offer a good amount of classes for gardening, photography, food preparation, and the like. The people that work at Tagawa Gardens are very friendly and knowledgeable. They can help you decide what would work best for your home and lifestyle.

This is one of the most fun places to shop. They have some really unique items, most have a southwestern feel, but they also have other items from all over the world. Their collection of area rugs is unbelievable; they have everything from a small doormat size to large area rugs that cover the floor. Jackalope also has a huge pottery area with some very beautiful pieces available for great prices. Definitely check this place out if you are decorating a home or looking for some one-of-a-kind gifts.

The natural history and art museum in this building is really cool. They have a lot of interactive learning exhibits and a collection of the most beautiful paintings of animals. There is also the iWERKS Theater in the museum that shows films on the giant screens. They even sell popcorn, sodas, and snacks for this theater! There is a children’s area that has learning games and activities. It can be a really stimulating experience for children and I found myself getting into the spirit of learning too! The gift shop is really cool and they sell some great stuff for pretty good prices. Spend a day here with your children; it will be a learning experience for all of you!

I like this store, but they didn’t have a lot of different styles. Many of the dresses they have are more traditional and quite a few of what I think are out-dated styles. They did have good prices on the closeout styles, but the selection of sizes in those styles left quite a bit to be desired. I would recommend if you are looking for a low-cost dress to try here, but I would also checkout the chain stores for more updated styles.

The Hampden Avenue location of the Crystal Rose is quite out-dated. The facility is okay, but not beautiful. They do include the facility rental, clean up, DJ, Bartender, and almost anything else you might need for a reception. The cost is all in the food, which is a fairly good value. The staff is also a little hard to get in touch with and they have so many events that they may not be able to give you all of the attention you deserve. I am not familiar with the other locations in the area, but if they boast a more updated atmosphere then I would recommend it.

The Boettcher Mansion is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. It is located in the middle of the forest on Lookout Mountain. However, the cost for rental of the facility is quite steep for most wedding receptions. If you are looking for a luxurious retreat for a reception than you have found the perfect place. Just be prepared to pay for it. Also, they get booked up very quickly for wedding receptions and you usually need to plan ahead at least a year to book space.

This place is absolutely wonderful. If you are planning a reception then this is the place for it. The cost of rental is a little high, but well worth the price. The Main Dining Room is a must because it has a large deck off of it that has some of the best views I’ve ever seen of Golden and the Denver Skyline. Their catered food is excellent as well and they can do a sit down dinner or buffet style. Plan to spend quite a bit of money on a reception here though and you must plan ahead at least a year to book the facility. The memories will be unforgettable!
