What a cute store! It is next door to the new Alderbrook Inn on Hood Canal. You can walk from the front door of the inn right over to the gift shop. When you walk in there is immediately so much to look at. They sell everything from jewelry, art, food and small souvenirs. It is such a cute store that even locals can amuse themselves in here! Our family has a summer house on the canal and one thing my mom and I like to do every time we are there is pop in this store and see what new things they have. There is always something to see! Though the prices tend to be high (as most gift stores/boutiques are), they have tons of cute things and we always find something that we have to have! The sales associates are always friendly and helpful. I love enjoying this locally owned store.

We just bought a house that had an unfinished backyard. We took part of our grass from the finished front yard to the coop and the employees there were able to look at the grass, tell us what kind we had and what we could plant in the backyard that would look the same but grow well in the part of the yard that faced north. Not to mention the prices here are terrific even if you are not a member. It was such a nice change from the big home improvement stores where it is very difficult to get this kind of one-on-one advice. Their advice was right on. Its been a few months and our lawn looks great!

We bought both of our cats from Dr. Bob. His kittens are very well cared for. He also sells them with the kitten program. Our kittens were only $70 and they came with all of their first year shots and a spay or neuter. He even gave them frontline upon request. In addition Dr. Bob is well known and trusted in the community. He is very good with the animals and has great instincts. I completely trust him and recommend him to all of my friends with animals. He is also very reasonably priced.

Wonderful custom made and locally designed wedding gowns. They also have tons of special occasion dresses that would be perfect for the mother of the bride, bridesmaids or any special occasion. The shop is owned by two women who design and make all the dresses. This was the first place I tried on wedding gowns and it was so much different than any other store I visited. Where else can you say “I like the bottom of this dress, and the top of this dress, but without this and maybe add a little of this” and they respond with “okay, no problem”?! I didn’t ultimately buy my dress here; however I would recommend a visit to this store for any bride to be!

It was here that I finally found my bridal gown. What a fabulous store! They have gorgeous dresses in all price ranges. Their changing rooms are great, with room for your whole bridal entourage to accompany you! The sales girls that helped me were always friendly and patient (and let me tell you I tried on a lot of dresses before finding the one). The best feature about the whole store is the runway in the center of the store. It allows you to see the dresses from every angle. There is also a webcam above the runway so if you have moms or maids out of town they can see you online in your gown. I also saw a couple trunk sales when I went to this store. So be sure to check the website for upcoming sales.

A cute locally owned bridal boutique. A mother and daughter team owns and operates this store. They have bridal gowns as well as bridesmaid attire. I already had my dress and bridesmaid dresses when I visited the store, however they also had accessories. One of the owners helped me, suggested things I might like and also offered to have everything from jewelry to veils custom made. It was a nice break to step into this boutique. Though I did not end up purchasing anything that day, they made me feel very welcome. I highly recommend this store to all brides! It is worth the drive! The prices are comparable to any of the other bridal salons in the Seattle area.

My fiancé exclaimed "$1.50 for ONE donut!?" the first time we walked into this place, but after eating one we both agreed it is worth every penny! Be sure to try the pink feathered boa (pink frosted donut with coconut shredded over the top). They have rotating flavors and terrific little tables where you can enjoy them. My only complaint is the coffee is not consistent. Best to get a latte somewhere else. However, don’t let that stop you, these donuts are delicious!

What a great place to enjoy happy hour! They have inexpensive drinks and delicious food (be sure to try the homemade mac and cheese - the best comfort food). This place is only a few blocks away from the Westlake Center (on the west side of 5th Ave). Its the perfect place to stop by after a long afternoon of shopping. The restaurant is decorated with blown glass and lots of fun artwork. Be careful around the holidays, they always seem to be full that time of year. You will probably need to make a reservation in advance.
