Cute store that sells handmade soaps and other bath and body products. I wandered in to the Snohomish location (there is also one in Seattle that I had driven by but never gone in) while I was waiting for a table at the Maltby Café across the parking lot. I owner was very bubbly and invited us to try some of the free samples of soap she had. She was very friendly and it was nice to chat a bit with her and explore her store. Her prices are what you would expect for a store with handmade soaps (about $4 a bar), but they are gorgeous and smell delicious. They would be a great addition to a gift basket.

What a great fall activity! Craven Farms is hidden in Snohomish. They have a pumpkin patch and you can take a wagon (that they provide) out into the patch to pick your perfect Halloween pumpkin. They also have two little gift shops and a few snack bars selling corn on the cob, kettle corn, hot apple cider, pumpkin cookies, etc. In a little barn they have some animals that the kids can look at and pet if they like. They also have a corn maze and a pumpkin patch tour. Props are set up all over the grounds (trailors full of pumpkins, cardboard cutouts, pumpkin scarcrows). They provide lots of great photo oppertunities so be sure to bring your camera. Be sure to aviod rainy days because things get quite muddy and most of the activities are outside.

This is a fantastic grocery store. Though it is probably not the place to do a bulk of your grocery shopping, as prices on everyday items tend to be high, it is the place to track down specialty items for your new gourmet recipe! They also offer a fantastic deli with freshly made sandwiches, smoothies and salads. In addition the bakery is fantastic. I ordered a sheet cake to feed thirty for a bridal shower. They were very helpful in choosing a flavor (white cake with raspberry filling and a white chocolate pour) and forming decorations. When I picked my cake up the baker came out and told me that the decorations I chose were so simple she was giving me a discount on the cake. I did not ask for the discount and was so happy that it was just offered! Later at the shower I had so many complements on the cake, it was DELICIOUS! And for less than Costco would charge for the same sized cake without the personal attention!

This store is fantastic! They always have a wide selection of lighting, everything from outdoor lights to desk lamps. They also have excellent sales (usually you can find an ad in the Sunday paper). The store is right in the middle of downtown Everett and has a small parking lot to the eastside. I have never had problems grabbing a spot here, although if there is an event at the nearby Everett Arena you might have a problem. The staff here has always been helpful and patient.

This old house on Beach Ave in Marysville comes across as a casual and friendly escrow company. By the time we made it to escrow our mortgage broker had delayed our closing by almost two weeks (but that is a whole other post). After a very frustrating buying process (nine months to be exact) we walked in to Leo Palmer for our last step. They were very friendly and answered all of our questions. They were very flexible with our schedule and pushed our documents through so quickly that we actually managed to close on time. In order to do this our documents were signed while a messenger was waiting to take them to the title company. I was so grateful that someone was finally making things happen for us. I realize that part of this may have been a favor called in by our desperate mortgage broker, however, I will always remember the great service I received from this escrow company.

What a great little pet shop! They have natural cat and dog food. They also have great pet toys, leashes and bins of yummy pet treats. I wandered into the store just to see what it was like. I thought "cute store, must be expensive". I was shocked when I looked at the price tags on a cat scratcher and saw that it was way less than you would pay in a large chain like Petsmart. This is the kind of store where you find yourself saying to your shopping buddy "Oh my gosh! Look at this, its so cute!" I highly recommend wandering in.

This spa is situated in the heart of U-Village. Parking can be brutal here on the weekend. The spa treatments are very inexpensive. Only $65 for a 60 minute massage. They also don’t allow tipping, so you don’t need to add anything extra to this price. The massages are not the best in Seattle, they can be hit and miss. I have had great, and had not so great. Since the staff are not tipped they tend to be younger and less experienced. However, I have always felt like I got my moneys worth.

I could spend hours in here. It is a scrappers paradise! Lots of sections organized by theme. I have spent many hours in the travel section of this store. Their stock is constantly changing and they are always offering new and exciting products. The prices are comparable to other scrapbook supply stores. They also have a dye cut center. Bring in your paper and pay a few dollars to cut as many dye cuts you can in an hour. The staff is usually friendly, though I have encountered the occasional “scrapping snob:. Check out their classes for a great time. I recommend the Midnight Madness. Simply five hours of scrapping after the store closes. They give door prizes (I have yet to walk away empty handed) and you are free to explore the store, use all the punches and dye cut center. Lots of fun.

This store is fantastic! We were buying a house being built by a developer who used Crescent Lighting as a contractor. After a disappointing experience with the flooring contractor, we went to Crescent a bit skeptical. Fortunately this store was terrific. The sales associates were friendly and helpful. They were all more than willing to help us, and not just refer us the builder’s contact. They even suggested less expensive options without us having to inquire about them! One associate pointed out a fantastic deal on a floor model of an entryway fixture. We bought this $250 fixture for only $45 on clearance! Fantastic! I would return here a thousand times and would recommend it to anyone!

We bought a house from a developer who used Northeast Carpet Sales as their contractor. Therefore we did not have the power to shop around while shopping for carpet and tile. Our experience with the service in the store was very poor. The contact we were given did not return phone calls. It usually took several phone calls before he would speak with us. When we finally got an appointment the gentleman meeting us acted as though we were an annoyance and not a customer. After we placed our order we decided we wanted to make a change. Again our phone calls were not returned for more than a week. It was until we mentioned in our message that we wanted to add MORE tile (upping our total bill) that the phone call was FINALLY returned. Finally, the installation was done incorrectly. I had paid extra to have the tile turned “on the point” to make the master bathroom look longer. The tiles were not turned. We were given an option for a refund or a correction after we moved in. We took the refund simply because tearing out the tile was not worth one more moment of dealing with the service in this store. If we had an option we would NOT have purchased flooring from this store.
