YUM! This is a great place. Perfect location for grabbing a burger and milkshake for a picnic lunch at the beach. The prices are terrific. There are some picnic tables where you can enjoy your meal with a flock of begging chickens. The teriyaki burger is the best. Be sure to check this out on your drive around the island.

This is the place to rent snorkel gear. You can rent by the week and you can choose between three different types of gear. My advice, go with the medium priced gear, the most expensive isn’t that much better. You can also rent coolers and umbrellas and beach chairs here. It is ideal for the tourist. Returning gear is easy. You can return to any location and there is an all hour drop box at each so you can return whenever is convenient for you. The staff is friendly and helpful. They will tell you where the snorkeling is best that week, give you a map of the beaches and a fun fish identification card.

This is a great place to watch a concert. It is set up like a Vegas lounge with big booths for you to sit at. The Triple Door is connected to the Wild Ginger and you can order dinner, drinks and dessert from your server while you watch the show. Though the food at the Wild Ginger is not fantastic, it is fun to eat while you enjoy a live band. Beware, the drinks are expensive and can add up if you aren’t careful!

This restaurant is across the street from Benaroyal Hall. The food is good, but nothing spectacular. I think that the food and drinks are overpriced. There are so many other terrific restaurants in the area where the food is much better. Bottom line, with all of the choices Seattle offers I would not spend my time or money eating at Wild Ginger.

Tom Douglas at his best. This place is great. It has a lounge type atmosphere - dim lights and a bar in the center of the restaurant. The food is amazing. The menu changes regularly and whatever you order is guaranteed to be delicious. The restaurant is tucked away in Belltown close to the Cinerama and in walking distance to Pacific Place and Westlake. Service is almost as good as the food. This restaurant is a must-visit in Seattle.

This is a once in a lifetime experience. When do you get to watch the sunrise from the top of a Hawaiian volcano? Go early in your trip when you are still jet lagged. It will make the 2am pick up at your hotel much easier. Dress warmly, it is VERY cold at the top of the volcano. If it is clear you can see other islands in the distance. Once the sun is up the tours start down the mountain. It is a long ride down, but it is very easy. You only go as fast as the slowest person and there is very little actual pedaling involved. You end up at a gorgeous beach and back to your hotel in time for lunch and a nap in the sun. A great way to see Maui.

This restaurant leaves something to desire. The food is mediocre at best. After my last meal I swore I would never return. I had ordered the crab cakes and was extremely disappointed. The prices are not extremely expensive, however I do feel they are high for the quality of food you get. I have also had poor service at the Edmonds location. My water glass was refilled once the entire evening. This restaurant is next door to Anthony’s Homeport. My advice, go next door to Anthonys. The prices and atmosphere are the same, but the food at Anthonys is much better.

This is a great place for a truly northwest dining experience. The service is great and the seafood is delicious. Anthonys is a local chain that does a great job staying popular. Our family has a tradition of enjoying our Christmas Eve dinner at Anthonys. We have many memories here and all include good food, atmosphere and service. You will usually need a reservation here.

After hearing this was the must do activity on Kauai we signed up. I know we are in the minority, but we did not enjoy our helicopter tour. My husband spent a majority of the trip very sick due to motion sickness (though he had never been airsick before – a helicopter is a very different experience). I found our pilot a bit sarcastic and not exactly friendly. He also could have offered more explanations of what we were seeing. Though the view is amazing, fear detracted from my enjoyment. My advice, this tour is not for the faint of heart. I am sure that for those braver than me the tour would be amazing. The woman coming off the helicopter as we were loading on was asked how the tour was. She responded “terrifying”. At least I know I am not the only wimp out there! For more than the price of interisland air fare we should have skipped this and done a whirlwind trip of another island.

Take the sunset cruise to the Golden Gate Bridge for a great view of the sunset. What a great way to see the city. The cheesy tourist factor is high, but the view is worth it. You get a hand held tour guide to explain all the sights you will see on your trip. But feel free to put them aside and enjoy the view. Be ware for those who get seasick. The bay can be rough, especially at sunset when the wind tends to pick up. Be sure to dress warmly and take some motion sick medicine if necessary.
