Bar convenient to capitol

Cheap alcohol. Good beer garden and it's great to be outside during the nice weather.
The bar varies from completely packed to pretty empty. It's kitty-corner from the Capitol, so it's definitely convenient if your business takes you to the Capitol.
They have salads, soups, burgers, and the Springfield-famous horseshoe and ponyshoe - otherwise known as a heart attack on a plate.
Not spectacular but very convenient and pretty quick service.
