great food!

An instant winner when it opened early in the summer of 1996, Stephen Hanson's sophisticated seafood palace gave people a reason to stay in the city instead of tooling out to the overcrowded Hamptons. Housed in a lofty former bank building, there's a raw bar at the back of the multilevel dining room and attractive outdoor balcony seating. A tray of iced oysters is a must. Other excellent choices include Moroccan-spiced red snapper, lobster by the pound, and lightly grilled Asian-accented swordfish. Blue Water Grill offers an American fare with a menu based largely on seafood and the raw bar. Expect the average entrée to cost for the most part in the range of $12 to $20.
