If you are looking for a cute brunch dim sum place, Jasmine is the best way to go in San Diego. While it is not as great as places located in Chinatown LA or SF, it is good enough if you are looking to satisfy your dim sum cravings in San Diego.
There is a large variety of food, dishes range from about $2-5 each.
For those of you who have no idea what dim sum is, it is a popular chinese breakfast/lunch thing that is served on weekends at most chinese restaurants, though some serve it during weekdays as well.
People come around with carts full of beautiful looking foods. a lot of different varieties of dumplings, desserts, etc. The dishes are small, and serve only about 3-4 people each. It is good to go with a large group of people and order a lot of different dishes.

This is a great place to take someone you want to impress to a nice brunch.
The restaurant has a beautiful location, right on the beach, letting everyone have a beautiful view, no matter where they are seated.
The place is beautifully decorated, and the display of brunch items is extremely exquisite.
The atmosphere is nice as well. The atmosphere is great for people to have a good time with their group, whether it is a group of two or more.
The staff is extremely friendly and not at all stingy about making sure your champagne, orange juice, water glass and coffee cup are never empty.
The food is pretty good and considering the prices of dishes at the Marine Room for lunch and dinner, the price is definitely a bargain.
The restaurant boasts a large variety of baked goods, breakfast items, lunch items, an omelet stand, and desserts. The display is absolutely beautiful.

This quaint little Italian place doesn't look impressive, isn't owed by Italians, but is one of the most delicious, reasonably priced Italian food in San Diego.
Dishes range from $10-20 and the quantities are huge. The taste is great and authentic and almost everything on the menu is delicious.
One of the specialties are the meatballs, home-made and the size of a baseball, these are very yummy.
While the place is usually pretty full, the staff always seems to be able to find room to seat guests within a few minutes.
The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The complementary bread is hot and fresh.
Highly recommended for anyone in the mood for Italian and not wanting to pay too much.

Out of all the tourist attractions I have taken visitors of San Diego to, the unanimous favorite has always been SeaWorld San Diego.
Some people might brush this experience off as too similar to other parks such as Marine World, but SeaWorld simply is not the same and is a great experience for adults and kids.
There are several rides and many animals to view such as dolphins, killer whales, penguins and turtles. There are also several very entertaining shows such as the Shamu show.
But there are also interactive activities such as petting and feeding the dolphins. This is one of my favorite things to do and I can still remember the thrill i felt at touching my first dolphin.
The best time to is in the summer. Not only are their extended park hours, but their are shows that are only shown in the summer. For instance, cirque de la mer, very reminiscent of cirque du soleil is both impressive and free. There is also a nighttime shamu show which only happens once every night. Summer nights end with a great ten minute firework show.
For adults, because SeaWorld is owned by Anheuser-Busch, you can also sample free alcoholic beverages and go to beer school. There is a Anheuser-Busch center shortly after the entrance which has some souvenir shops, restaurants and of course, beer samples!

Don't let the name fool you. This is one of the best sushi places in all of San Diego.
The menu offers a huge variety of rolls including all your favorites but also a variety of exotic yummy roles you have never heard of.
This restaurant boasts unique rolls created by the chef's themselves, some even named after the sushi chefs.
This is a place for not only sushi lovers, but even though not so into sushi. It has a very fusion like feel, offering good quality food at a very reasonable price for all types of tastes.
I, myself, am not a huge sushi fan, but this is one of my all time favorite places to eat at.
Highly recommended is the crunchy roll and dynamite roll and also the Sake and beer drink special.
Also recommended is to go early and to not go in too large of a group. This place is extremely popular and often has a long wait. The bigger the group, the harder it is for them to accommodate your group at a reasonable time.

The San Diego Zoo is one of the biggest attractions of San Diego and it definitely lives up to its name. The actual zoo is huge and quite a hike if one plans on walking the entire area.
Despite being a "zoo," it's not all about caged animals. Many animals are left in an almost natural like environment with little to no barriers between people and animal. Wandering around, you might see some exotic birds walking side by side with you.
For those who don't have the energy or time to walk the entire zoo, it is highly recommended that you pay for the 40 minute bus tour in the beginning, which takes you around about 80% of the grounds. You can then hope on bus stops to take you to areas you want to spend more time at.
Most notable is the Panda exhibit. While the line is always long, don't let it deter you. It is continuously moving so the wait isn't too bad. The pandas are beautiful, and you might just be able to see the new baby!
