So yes, Blue C Sushi looks nice and pretty on the inside and out...and yeah, it's kind of cool that the food comes around on a converyer belt. But you know what's not cool? CRAPPY FOOD
Maybe...

Maybe it's just me, but I'm picky about my sushi...and Blue C has spent way too much trying to make itself look fancy and too little on the food.
If you want to go to a sushi place because it's the new fad or you want to be cool, go to Blue C. But if you want to go to a sushi place for good sushi...go somewhere else.

Of the Chinese restaurants on the Ave, I don't really like China First. It's directly across from another restaurant for one, yet they act like they're the best.

Service is OK, food is OK. Sometimes you can get a deal with a coupon from The Daily or thesurvivalguide but unless you have a coupon, the value isn't really that great.

If you're in search of anything Italian...look no further. Ducati Seattle is located next to Buca de Bepo...what's better than fine food, and fine motor vehicles?

Ducati Seattle carries scooters and motorcycles, from Vespa's to Superbikes. The sales crew is helpful, and most of them are bike fanatics too. I had a great experience when I was shopping for my bike. They helped me choose the bike, let me test ride it, and even helped set up the finances.
On my way out, they gave me a tshirt and calander :)

I'm not a spa kind of guy, but the few times I've been there for events that I was required to attend...it just seemed a bit sleazy to me.

The outside looks nice, well..as nice as it could look in the middle of the U-District. The inside isn't anything fancy, and it makes me feel kind of dirty just walking around there.
If you're okay with renting a room and spa knowing that god knows what has gone on in there before you...then...this is the place for you.

Food is cheap, and they're open late...don't expect a five star meal though. Bang for your buck, if you don't need anything fancy, but want some tasty food...New China Xpress is the way to go.
A tip for those who are hungry...order to go, you get more food than if you order in :)

The Pita Pit is one of the many "Ave" stores that caters to University of Washington college students.
They offer custom Pitas...think of Subway in Pita form. You walk in, order at the counter in the rear by selecting the meat/veggie combo you want...then you move towards the front and select your condiments. Cheeses, vegetables, sauces...and whatever else they have.
After your meat gets cooked, they place it in your Pita and wrap it up in paper for you to dine in, or to go.
Pita Pit is open late, and is a haven to drunk college students. If that bothers you, they maybe you should stay in at night or call for delivery.
