When I dropped my car off, we were off to a good start. They were organized, confident and listened to why I was bringing in my car--a squeaking noise and thermostat problems. I didn't have an appointment so it took them a few days to get to my car. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that the didn't find the mystery problem that another mechanics had suggested (and that I never fixed). In fact, they fixed my squeaking and temperature with a new bearing and thermostat. An easy fix.

This place is great. The atmosphere is modern, relaxing and professional. I have serious knots in my shoulders and Maria worked them really well. I was also pleased when my appointment started and finished on time. I always appreciate that, but this time I especially did because I popped over during work and really didn't want to be gone too long. I will definitely return for another productive and relaxing massage.

I tried this place to wash our SUV. It has been sitting in the driveway was getting pretty covered in pollen and sap. The wash was fast, very fast in fact. I paid for "the works," (for around $10) but it was so fast there is no way it did a thorough job cleaning and applying wax. It is basically a gas station car wash--nothing fancy--that gave my car a once over. All mud and dust was removed, but not all the tough stuff, like sap and bugs. I also didn't notice any wax residue on the windows. To me, that is evidence that there wasn't much of a wax application.
The good news is that it "quick." I doubt much of a line could form because it goes so fast. There wasn't a line at all when I went. I've been caught in some car wash lines for 30 minutes, which makes the speed a nice bonus.
My verdict on this place is that it is a good place to go, but I wouldn't pay for the works. I doubt you get much more.

Red Sage is a great place to have lunch if you work in downtown Bellevue. Their Ultimate Vegetarian focaccia sandwich is mouth watering. They use a variety of cold roasted vegetables with goat cheese and homemade vinaigrette dressing. The bread is baked fresh daily and everything is really flavorful and fresh. A friend of mine swears by the Genoa focaccia, which I still need to try.
They also have a Bread Salad, which is a great mixed greens salad with the same homemade vinaigrette and focaccia bread for "croûtons". The bread is cut into big chucks and mixed throughout. It is soft and soaks up some of the dressing.
There aren't many places to eat in the deli. It is better to get take out and eat in the Key Center Atrium.
Definately worth a try. I also sometimes will grab a freshly baked croissant fro breakfast.

We used A. at Alderwood. She was fine, but maybe wasn't a very good listener. She missed the mark on my husband's "modern" TV room. She used the colors he wanted, but it turned out kind of country. Her recommendations for the living room were great so we bought most of that. I wish I could have talked to a couple different designers and chose the one that matched our taste. That would have helped. The sales people are the designers so the women that helped us was just the women that happened to be free when I went in on the weekend. After that I wanted to go in Thursdays and it was hard to get help since she didn't work Thursdays. The other sales people just kept saying they've have our salesperson call us when she was in the office. That was bad.
My aunt had someone from EA come out that she loved. The women recommended paint colors and all kinds of things when she was at her house. It sounded like she was more of an interior decorator and was less worried about selling EA.

Ever since I graduated college, I stopped going to UW's Newman Center. I know they welcome everyone, but there is no parking and it just isn't convenient. However, I did love their service. The sermon was always relevant and interesting to me as a college student and the parish was young and fun. I'm still looking for a church with similar qualities in Seattle. So far, St. Joe's on capital hill is the closest.

When I lived in the Maple Leaf neighborhood, I liked walking to St. Catherine for church. It is small and cozy and has a nice neighborhood atmosphere. If you live in the area, you may not even know it exists. It is hidden among houses right off 15th. The parish has more families that 20-somethings, which was what I wanted, but it was a nice traditional service.

I live in the north end, which makes St. Mark's my closest parish. It didn't seem to fit so I try to make my way back to St. Joseph's on capital hill. I really like the atmosphere. It has a good mix of young and old. The music seems to be more like what I grew up singing.

I started going seeing Andrea when she was at Mode (on Roosevelt) a couple of years back. Mode was getting a lot of recognition. I saw a write-up in Seattle magazine mentioning Andrea and the same month a friend referred me to Mode. I had to give it a try. Andrea did a great job and I loved the place. It was a fresh change from (overdone) Gene Juarez. About two to three haircuts later, Mode changed to a non-independent shop and Andrea moved on. I followed her to a little shop in "Tangletown" by Greenlake (at Inis Salon). It was worth the move, because the haircuts are consistent and interesting, and so is Andrea. She actively travels to stylist workshops so she has fresh ideas. She offers great products and a cute shop. When its time for a cut, I start my morning with a coffee from Zoka (across the street) and leave with a great haircut from Andrea. I recommend her--just don't take my Saturday morning (every 10 weeks) time slot.
