This place has rave reviews everywhere I looked online, and I can see why. It is tiny (hence the "bistro," I suppose), and the moment you walk in the owner makes you feel at home. He's not overly friendly as if he knows you, just gets that perfect blend of cordiality and genuine friendliness that really adds to the experience. The food is different from most of the restaurants I typically go to (I think they have French and Hungarian cuisines, among a couple other types) and it's a refreshing change of pace. It's well-done, unique, and well-presented as well.
Their menu is extensive and it was hard to pick something, it all sounded so good; they also have an international choice of wines that I don't think you can find at many other places. They have a host of desserts on display, but they were ridiculously expensive! which was especially odd because the rest of the meal seemed reasonably priced. Plus, the desserts were good, but not anything overly special. I'd enjoy the appetizers and entrees, but head somewhere else for dessert.

I like that this place is a little outside of the city, so there's no trouble parking. The place is tastefully decorated and the atmosphere is nice; there were some small groups of people and some couples like us, and it had a pretty romantic, laidback air. The food was really wonderful. I had a double-cut pork chop that was not only gigantic (and reasonably priced), but seasoned perfectly. The other thing that stuck out in my mind was one of their dessert drinks; I can't remember which one I tried, but all of those creations sounded great and mine tasted amazing. Unfortunately our waitress was a little snobby and didn't pay much attention to us, which was a downer for the evening. I think that may have just been her though, as the other tables around us seemed to get service that was fine. Anyway, overall it was still a good experience and I'd definitely go back.

Angora Cafe has great food. I think they're best known for their frozen yogurt, which you can "mix in" with various toppings, and you have a whole blackboard's worth full of choices. That's undeniably good, but you shouldn't underestimate their food, either. Their sandwiches are consistently made with quality, and they have combinations that taste amazing. Their wraps are pretty huge, so you get a decent amount's worth of food for your money too. Only downside is the service can be a little slow, but that's just because they make everything from scratch so I wouldn't complain about that. Overall, definitely try it out if you need a quick bite to eat.

I went to dinner at Kashmir the other day. Everything seemed fairly typical; the prices were what I expected for both food and drinks, the service was adequate. It had a rather interesting atmosphere, since part of the time they were blasting music and for the rest it was completely silent. The food was very good, and I loved the garlic naan. Overall just your standard Indian place, and conveniently located if you happen to be shopping in the area.

The atmosphere at Finale is definitely a little snobbish, not welcoming. The desserts are very expensive, and not very large. So why do so many people keep going? Well, the desserts taste incredible. They have the best creme brulee I've ever tasted, and it's pretty easy to overlook all the negatives once you take a bite. I've never eaten from their dinner menu, but their desserts are all worth it. They also have smaller take-out desserts that are a little bit cheaper but taste just as amazing, if you're looking to save a few bucks.

I recently went to Croma for a night out with the girls. The atmosphere was really fun, and perfect for the evening: relaxed, maybe a little too loud for talking, but otherwise great for a bunch of ladies who wanted to sit around and dish. The drink selection was excellent -- I had two mixed drinks and they both tasted wonderful, and were pretty unique as well.
The place is a bit on the expensive side though, I believe martinis cost $11 each. I didn't have any of the food but it looked great and seemed more reasonably priced than their drinks (where in Boston are drinks reasonably priced, though?). The only downer of the evening was that the service was on the slow side, probably because they were pretty busy. It was difficult to get a drink and we stood around waiting for our checks for a little while before they seemed to get the message. Overall though, a good place to meet up in a group. I've heard their Tini Tuesdays are awesome.

I had to get my car towed to this Herb Chambers BMW, which has a very convenient location. Unfortunately it took them a long time to diagnose my car's problem, and were even wrong the first time so that I had to come in unnecessarily. A few times they also promised to call me back with updates, and never did, so I had to call them instead. In their defense I think they were very busy at the time, but it was still pretty annoying.
When I did get my car back it worked perfectly again, but I had to wait there for an unduly long time at pick-up for them to bring my car and the other things I needed. Basically, they did their job well, but in their own time, which didn't match up very well with mine.

The Sunset Cantina is a great place. A lot of people in the area head there after work for happy hour, where they have relatively inexpensive mixed drinks and cocktails, and a pretty good selection of beers on tap (though its sister restaurant, the Sunset Grill down the street, is the one known for having the biggest selection of beers on tap in Boston).
They also have excellent food, if you ever get a chance to try the restaurant part. They have the same menu as the Sunset Grill in fact, with a wide variety of choices, including some classics with a slightly "Mexican" twist like an added spicy salsa or something along those lines. The interior is a little dark for my taste, but you can also sit outside for great people watching on Comm Ave. Service is usually pretty good and quick, though when things get busier it occasionally slips a tiny bit.

I really like Pizza Etc., though maybe that's partly because it's practically right next door to my house ... Anyway, they inexpensive offerings: pizza, calzones, and subs, the typical things you can get from a pizza joint. In my opinion their chicken salad is amazing.
Sometimes the wait for food is a little long, but I consider that a better alternative than pre-made stuff. They also deliver and accept orders to be picked up, so that can cut down on the time you spend waiting there. If you do wait or eat there it's usually very clean so there are no problems.

The place is a bit annoying to get to if you're trying to drive, no parking except on-street. When I went, a Friday or Saturday night (can't remember which), the place actually wasn't busy at all and we were seated quickly. The wait staff was courteous, and I thought the atmosphere was pretty good -- definitely casual, but the place was clean and friendly.
The food was a little different from most of the other Korean food I've had. A little hard to explain, but it was definitely still good, and the generous portions had us pretty stuffed by the end. Overall it's a pretty typical Korean place. I'd say it's worth checking out if you like Korean food or never have tried any before.
